When it was below zero outside in December 2025, Mike still showed up promptly and fixed a homeowner's garage door "so that it feels new." M.P. Halnon Garage Door Co., Inc. is a garage door business in Milton, Vermont. Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.9 stars from 41 ratings, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. A June 2025 reviewer said Mike got an old door up to speed when the family moved in more than 20 years earlier, fixed it again weeks later after they backed into it, and was the first call when a spring broke years after that. In an August 2024 review, he returned a call while on vacation, booked the repair for first thing on his return, and gave the customer information on options. A March 2021 reviewer described Mike finding a used part for an old door opener control and a practical fix for stabilizing the door's connection to the opener, the day after the request. A January 2020 customer called on a Saturday, heard back the same day, and had a new garage door opener installed on Monday morning. In a September 2019 review, he installed a new garage door and removed the old one. Nine reviewers from 2019 to 2021 say he arrived on time or when he said he would. Six reviewers between 2020 and 2025 call his price or rates fair or reasonable, and a March 2021 reviewer said he kept the job to its estimate. Mike is the BEST. When we first moved in 20= years ago he got an old door up to speed and even promptly fixed it when I backed out of the garage and hit the door a few weeks later (I'm sure I wasn't the first to do it in the history of home ownership). Fast forward to many years later and the door still works great but when I busted a spring from normal wear and tear Mike was the first guy to call and many years later his service is still above and beyond. He is prompt, professional and has reasonable rates. On top of that he's just a solid Vermonter. Call him first you will not regret it!
Mike returned my call while he was on vacation and set up an appointment for first thing when he returned. He was kind, knowledgeable, efficient, and charged a fair price for the repair. He also gave info on options. I highly recommend him.
