Hanover Masonry and Construction of Dorchester is thorough in deceitfulness. Avoid at all costs. I hope others protect themselves as I did in the event they choose to work with this outfit and consider how a company with 45 years of experience has 10 reviews. The Good: Jon, Mark and Daniel are very polite. Quick to quote. Quick to propose a solution The Bad: Didn't actually perform the solution, then say they did. Removed 1 inch of soil and instead of the 7 we agreed to Put down 25 bags of topsoil instead of the 222 (5 inches on 400 SF) agreed to Laid Sod in spite of my objections Stockpiled their trash on my neighbor's property - did not remedy Made a mess of my neighbor's property - did not remedy Shifting points of contact throughout Consistently unresponsive Late as a matter of habit I'm glad I protected myself. Am embarrassed to have hired them.
I contacted Angi to get this work done and John from Hanover Masonry immediately contacted me. He came to check the work to do and arrived at the exact time we had agreed on, he was extremely pleasant and gave me a very reasonable price. He came started the job just 2 days after I hired him and did a perfect job! He was very efficient, my patio looks so beautiful now that I would like him to do my entire patio now. Besides leaving the job very well done, he also left the work area impeccable!
They were very nice and efficient. Really happy with the results!
This contractor responded promptly to set up an initial appointment. He was on time and had good communication. The job was done quickly and at a good price. He completed the repair as needed and recommended nothing that was unnecessary. Cleanup was thorough. I would highly recommend this contractor for masonry/repair of exterior stairs etc.
