George Horrocks has been putting solar on New Hampshire roofs and fields since 2008, and the reviews that describe the work read like they were written by people who watched the whole job. A 2023 reviewer laid out a 5.5 kW, fifteen-panel ground mount from September 2020 — Harmony handled the Eversource coordination, the town paperwork and the NH rebate filing — and then, when a pine tree came down on five of those panels two years later, said the crew was on site the next day and had replacements in within days. A 2017 Angi customer summed the finish work up in one line: "You can't find a wire anywhere." Its New Hampshire electrician license, 0390C, is active, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, 179360, is active as well. The company says Horrocks is a NABCEP-certified solar PV installer with an electrical engineering degree who has been principal designer on more than 500 photovoltaic projects. BuildZoom's permit history backs the volume in its own way: 17 permitted jobs, including roof and ground arrays, a 10 kW standby battery and a 200-amp panel upgrade, across Portsmouth, Durham, Exeter, New Hampton and Hampton between 2019 and 2024. Service long after the sale keeps coming up. A September 2025 reviewer with a system they had installed themselves said Harmony diagnosed and fixed a failing inverter, later swapped an underperforming panel under warranty, and filled out a Maine tax-exemption form at no charge. Another writing that August said a solar tracker installed in 2018 was running again within two hours of the crew arriving. The complaints are fewer, but they are specific and they cluster on the same thing: what happens when a project goes sideways. A June 2025 reviewer who says they spent about $250,000 between a home and an office lost $6,000 in solar credit after not being told they had to switch supplier to Eversource, and says panels were set beyond their owned roof area, creating exposure with the other owners in their association. An October 2023 reviewer says a $1,500 deposit bought a design Hampton's building code would not allow, followed by no-shows at the easement hearing and then silence. On Angi in 2022, a customer who needed panels pulled for a roof replacement said a one-week job turned into two months of chasing dates. The BBB grades the company B-, and gives as its stated reason a failure to respond to one complaint on file. For a designed, permitted PV system with the interconnection and incentive paperwork handled in house, this is a shop with a long and checkable trail. Pin down the supplier switch, the roof boundary and the schedule in writing before the deposit — that is precisely where the unhappy customers say it came apart.
“I had a system installed last year by Harmony Energy Works. Result was excellent.”
Working with this team to install solar panels and a battery backup at my home has been an exceptional experience. After researching several companies, I found this one to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. Throughout the entire process, the team demonstrated expertise and professionalism, helping me choose the ideal setup and guiding me toward the best resource combinations. The installation crew did a fantastic job placing the panels on my roof, integrating the battery into my electrical system, and providing ongoing technical support after the sale. If you’re thinking about installing solar at your home, I strongly recommend reaching out to them—you’ll be glad you did.
Harmony, as a company, responded well to my DIY-installed solar system, diagnosing and fixing a malfunctioning inverter, later replacing an under-performing panel, with an alternative, under warranty, and the latest assistance, filling out the Maine solar tax exemption form. Sincere gratitude to Jay, their Project Manager, from a long-in-the-tooth, fellow PM, for the latter task, undertaken, gratis.
I had a solar tracker installed in 2018 and I noticed it wasn't working. I called and spoke to Jay and he told me to try and couple of things before he sends out someone to look at it. I did what he asked and it didn't work. So I called him the back the next day and within 2 hours they were here to look at it. They replaced a part that was under warranty and then figured out what was wrong. Within a hour my tracker was up and running again. Thank you Jay and crew for getting us back up and working so quickly. Service was excellent Jim p
Their workers are among the most disrespectful individuals you will encounter in the local area. They hire men with no values whatsoever or public respect. A reflection of "George," I am sure.
My husband and I spent about $250,000 with Harmony Energy in total between solar panels at our office and our home. We lost $6,000 in solar credit by not being informed that we needed to switch the supplier to Eversource. For Harmony Energy to receive such a large amount of business, more meticulous care and insured delivery of critical information should have been provided to the customer. We should have gone with 603 Solar or Revision Energy. In addition, Harmony Energy installed solar panels beyond the owned area of our roof putting us at financial risk with the other owners in the association. We suspect this significantly increased the cost we paid to Harmony as well. Their abandonment of customer service and attempts to blame the process on us when they were responsible to guide us through the process for retrieval of credit upon sale of the condo unit was inexcusable. BUYER BEWARE.
