Hartford Paving & Site Construction says it was founded in 1974 as a general contractor paving driveways and roadways, and describes itself as family owned and run. Its BBB profile describes paving and concrete services, including decorative stamps, driveway construction, coatings, sidewalks and walkways. A 2024 Google customer said they paved the customer's driveway and that the customer was very happy with how it turned out. A recent Google reviewer, writing about road work for the city, says the work did not keep to the construction times posted for residents and that traffic was poorly redirected, with cars often ignored until they honked. A 2026 Google reviewer complained of bumpy, uneven roads that started cracking in less than a year.
“Hartford paving”
“the lowest bid – for $306,000 from Hartford Paving – was disqualified due to failure to show experience in building athletic courts.”
“The work will be carried out by Hartford Paving Corporation of Johnston, the lowest of three bidders.”
Did not adhere to posted construction times given to residents on road. Very poor redirection of traffic, often ignoring cars until honked at. Just another over-priced, poor quality contractor for the city.
