Henry Martin has been building in Belchertown since 1986, by the BBB's record, and the bureau grades the company A+ — though it has never taken BBB accreditation, which is a different thing. What almost nobody has done is write about it. There is exactly one review on file, posted in August 2016, and it is a warm one: a couple who had Henry build their dream home in Belchertown singled out his craftsmanship, his fresh ideas and — in capital letters — his PATIENCE with them, and said photographs of the house are on his Houzz page. Both BuildZoom and Houzz show four projects apiece. Licensing needs care here. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, #152843, and says it verified that as active in March 2026; Houzz lists the same number. Neither was checked against the state registry here. BuildZoom also records two Construction Supervisor licences, #CS-078858 and #CS-064160, as inactive and at one point cancelled by the Department of Public Safety — and Houzz still prints CS064160 among the company's credentials. If your job touches structure, that is the first question to ask. Houzz lists Belchertown as the only town covered, and the two sources do not agree on tenure: the BBB says 40 years, the Houzz profile says over 30. For a custom home or a substantial remodel in that corner of western Massachusetts, the 2016 account reads well. But it is ten years old and it is the whole written history. Ask for recent addresses you can visit, and ask plainly which supervisor licence is current before any structural work starts.
