One customer paid around $2,000 for shower and bathtub work and said the estimate was written without anyone checking the tub's drainage — then a further estimate arrived after the job was already done. Another asked for EV charging and ended up with a standard outlet on the outside of the house that couldn't charge the car. A third confirmed a routine maintenance appointment with three separate representatives over two weeks, and it still went wrong. That is the sharp edge of a much larger and mostly favorable history. Google averages 4.8 across 3,613 ratings, Best Pick Reports 4.9 across 4,517, HomeAdvisor 4.5 across 956, and the BBB page is an A+ with accreditation. Its Massachusetts electrician licence is active. Heritage runs three trades — heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical — and jobs routinely cross between them. In late July 2026 a technician deep-cleaned three mini-split heads that hadn't been touched in twelve years; another traced a dead air conditioner to a single cut wire; a third arrived on an emergency where the city had to shut the water off at the street, and called half an hour ahead to ask where to park. A single-zone mini-split system went in for a HomeAdvisor customer in 2024. The technicians get named, constantly. Ian, Joshua, Lily, Brendan, Nathan, Rob, Daniel, Nick — and what people write about is the same two things every time: he explained what he found, and he cleaned up. Ian showed up at 8am for a recurring furnace fault and worked through to noon on it. Price is the standing counterweight. It comes up again and again in the Best Pick survey comments — the hourly labour rate, the cost of small jobs — and a 2022 reviewer said it plainly, that they're probably a little more expensive than other servicing companies. Reliability shows up occasionally too: a 2024 HomeAdvisor customer wrote that their cooling had never worked in summer and the heating failed twice every winter. The Reddit trail, for what it's worth, is recruitment — apprentice plumbing openings in Laconia, New Hampshire posted in 2025 and 2026, not customer accounts. This is the outfit to call when something has stopped working and you want a licensed, tidy technician on site quickly across whichever trade it turns out to be. Before anyone starts, get the scope and the number in writing, ask directly what the quote does not cover, and — if it's an install rather than a repair — confirm exactly what equipment you are getting.
