Holmes Landscape Construction traces its start to a boy with a lawnmower: the company's website says John A Holmes III began mowing lawns at 9 years old, with a Radio Flyer wagon his grandfather converted into his first trailer, under the name "John's Yard Work" in Barrington, Rhode Island. On its BBB page, the company describes itself as a landscaping company providing lawn maintenance, lawn cutting, new lawn construction, snowplowing and sanding. A recent Google customer hired Holmes for a large job: expanding and re-surfacing the driveway, adding gardens and parking spaces, building two new bluestone walkways, re-grading the lawn and planting several new grassy areas. That customer said everything came in on budget and on time. A 2024 Google customer called the service prompt and recommended John Holmes for landscaping needs small or big. Its BBB grade is A+.
