Several of the reviews for Eugene Handyman, a one-person operation, mention how promptly he shows up and how easy he is to reach by phone and text. The jobs on file cover a wide range: home repairs and small landscaping work. The specific jobs mentioned span several trades: removing a rotted door frame, glass, and damaged wood flooring around a sliding glass door and installing a temporary weather-resistant cover; a porch repair paired with yard landscaping; a ramp repair; and wall patching with matching paint touch-up. A review from August 2026 called him prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable, and a 2024 review said he arrived on time and explained the work as he went. In a late-2025 review, one customer called his rate for a ramp repair quite reasonable. Every review on file, from 2024 through 2026, is five stars. A solid call for a mix of small repairs and yard work from a single, hands-on contractor; confirm his current availability and get a written estimate before the job starts.
Would definitely recommend. He did exactly what was asked and was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you need something done around the house, give him a call.
Eugene came out to work on our property to repair a ramp. He was very prompt and the rate was quite reasonable. I highly recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a Handyman.

The first was to repait holes in a wall and paint area to match other paint. He did a great job. He has many skills so i hired him to help move to a new apt. Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Eugene Handyman. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.
