That customer wrote that the crane's reach let them remove most of the trees without moving it, that ground protection mats protected the edges of the driveway, and that the stump grinding and site cleanup left almost no sign of where the trees had been. The same customer said the owner was easy to communicate with before and during the job. A recent customer called James and his team professional and timely, with fair pricing. Howard Tree Service says on its website that its bucket trucks can service up to 75 feet and that its climbers use proper and safe climbing techniques. The company says it has been in business 30 years. A 2022 customer said a massive oak came down on their well and driveway after hours, and that they "arrived without 1/2 hr to clear access and securely position debris and trunk." A 2025 customer wrote that Mr. Howard returned their call within a couple of hours and gave an estimate the same day after a large hickory came down in a storm, then came back two days after that first visit to get the trees cut down, cleaned up and chipped. A 2025 customer said they had used Howard Tree Service for more than 20 years and had called James in a pinch on several occasions to deal with major storm damage; that 2025 customer said the company had just pruned their apple and cherry trees. A 2023 customer said the company first cut down about 33 very large pine trees for them and later about 12 large maple trees. A 2025 customer described two days of trimming and tree removal on a condominium property, with all wood and chips taken away. A 2025 customer said James and crew took down a massive pine tree that was very close to the house.
