Isaksen Solar works out of 18 Pocasset St in Fall River and has become the company New England homeowners call when their original solar installer disappears. Ryan Rego and his partner Brad Camiel founded it after a coffee meeting where, as a 2021 New Bedford Guide profile told it, they decided within twenty minutes to quit their jobs; by late 2021 the Fall River Reporter noted the company had grown from three full-time employees in 2017 to twenty-one. In 2018 the Herald News covered what was then their biggest job, 1,250 panels going onto the one-acre roof of the Iron Works building at 18 Pocasset St. Both of the credentials that matter here check out against the state registries in the company's own name: Massachusetts electrician licence 8143 and home improvement contractor registration 189428 are registry-verified active, held by Isaksen Solar LLC. The Better Business Bureau accredits them and grades them A+. Google shows 4.9 from 631 ratings, and the file runs to 439 reviews across nine sources going back to 2021. The orphan-rescue work is the clearest pattern in recent reviews. One customer whose eleven-year-old system near Boston threw a ground fault error after a blizzard wrote in March 2026 about calling the original installer for days with no answer. Another said Isaksen responded immediately once they learned BlueSel Solar had gone out of business, and their technician Patrick diagnosed the problem within minutes of arriving. Several customers whose installers folded were transferred over and describe proactive monitoring — one wrote that Isaksen detected a production issue and contacted them before they had noticed anything wrong. Service names recur across 2026: Chantel and Jessica in customer service, Ryan and Joe on troubleshooting, Randi and Jon Richards on the sales side, Jacob leading an installation crew that put in 37 panels and two batteries over two days of sub-zero temperatures and strong winds in December 2025. On the install side, customers describe no-pressure consultations, buy-outright options the door-to-door national companies would not offer, Tesla Solar Roof projects, and battery systems that interface with the utility grid. A July 2026 customer reported a $0.00 electric bill. Two things are worth raising before you sign. In April 2026, several people on a Reddit forum for stranded Solaris Renewables customers said they had contacted Isaksen about taking over their contracts — through the website form and by email, one twice in a week — and had heard nothing back; one said the only relief offered was transferring the contract to Isaksen, who would honor the deposit. And a July 2026 one-star reviewer alleged the company lied about their system and had their previous review removed. That single account sits against forty reviews in the last six months with one negative, but it is an allegation about the review record itself and worth reading directly. If you have an orphaned system or want a local installer who holds its own licences and answers the phone after the sale, this is a strong call. If you are coming from a collapsed installer's contract, get the transition terms and the response timeline in writing up front.
“Sounds like a way to push people in to a plan that costs nearly 2x as much to mine money from customers who have paid or committed a lot and are worried their solar will stop working.”
“I've e-mailed them (Isaken) at least twice this week with very simple questions with 'Solaris' in the Subject line. No reply.”
“I reached out to Isaksen Solar yesterday morning at about 7 AM to inquire about the expansion. I filled out their online form and got an automated email that they would call me in 48 hours. I have not heard anything yet.”
“oddly, no replies on very simple questions sent to Isaken”
“The only relief I was offered was to transfer my contract to Isaksen Solar, and Isaksen would honor the deposit.”
“Worst place I have worked at work you like dogs boss only cares about himself treats solar installer terrible”
“Chris Johnson from Isaksen Solar, Isaksen Solar Company”
“Fall River-based Isaksen Solar installed panels onto my home in mid-September, 2020 (turned on in October) and I could not be happier thanks to having no electric bill (they actually pay me now), the tax benefits, and positive environmental impact.”
“Isaksen Solar has grown from three full-time employees in 2017 to 21 full-time employees today.”
“Ryan Rego and his partner Brad Camiel met over coffee to discuss their future and twenty minutes later decided to quit their jobs and form Fall River-based Isaksen Solar, one of the fastest-growing small businesses in New England.”
Jon gave us ALL the extra time we need. We are 2 IT ignoramouses … so he really went over and above. All other staff were quick, polite and neat!
Best customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Spoke with Ryan, very helpful was able to take care of my issue in 10 minutes. Fast responses, very professional, and beyond helpful.
Tech guys showed up right on time, but the weather was a total bummer—steady rain with some serious downpours. They had to duck into their truck to wait out the storm. Anyway, they got the job done and explained what was going on. Turns out, the wiring was faulty, and they fixed it. Now my system’s working like it should, producing the expected electricity.
Isaksen Solar installed a large Tesla solar roof for me, and both my contractor and I were extremely pleased with their service. They were very knowledgeable and professional, and they showed up on time and got the work done on schedule. The results have been great, too, the roof generates a lot of power. I highly recommend Isaksen if you’re considering installing solar.
Just got my first $0.00 electric bill! Very pleased. Their customer support if incredible!
