Island Lighting & Power System says it has been in business 34 years, and its website describes it as an electrical contractor with a fleet that includes bucket trucks and a crane. In 2024, after a tree came down in a storm and took out the power lines to a house, the company's crew got the damaged lines replaced and the power back up, and that customer wrote that they went above and beyond. A 2024 article on abingtonnews.org reported that Island Lighting & Power Systems won the bid to perform work at a football field, and quoted Serino as saying the plan was to dismantle the existing light poles and stanchions on the visitors' side and start drilling holes for two new poles.
“Island Lighting & Power Systems won the bid to perform the work. Serino said the plan for the coming week is to dismantle the existing light poles and stanchions located on the visitors’ side of the football field and start drilling holes for the two new poles.”

Awesome group of guys I just met from this company. Tree came down in a storm and took my power lines to my house out they went above and beyond for me and my kids to get our damaged lines replaced and back up. They went way above the call of duty. I’m very thankful it was them that came out.
