PW DiMasi Electric is a Waltham, Massachusetts electrical contractor built around one thing customers keep repeating: Peter DiMasi and his crew show up fast and communicate the whole way through. Ninety-six Google ratings average a full five stars, and the state's own registry verifies an active electrician license under Peter W. DiMasi's name. The volume of praise runs deep — 109 reviews dating back to 2016 across eight sites, with recent Google reviews describing panel upgrades, knob-and-tube removal, EV charger installs and routine repairs alike finished cleanly and on schedule. Several customers single out response time specifically: one described leaving voicemails for three electricians and having only DiMasi call back within the hour, and another recalled emailing at 10pm before a family emergency and getting a reply by 5am the next morning. Fair pricing comes up often too, with more than one homeowner comparing several quotes and choosing DiMasi on value as well as reputation. Larger-scope jobs show up repeatedly as well — 200 and 400-amp service upgrades in century-old multi-family homes, full knob-and-tube removal, and EV charger installations. The Better Business Bureau lists the company as accredited with an A+ grade and names building rewiring, new wiring, electrical installations, repairs and emergency work among its services. Third-party aggregate scores mostly line up with the Google figure — BuildZoom shows 5.0 stars from 2 ratings and one HomeAdvisor listing shows 4.9 stars from 5 ratings — though a separate HomeAdvisor snapshot puts the figure at 4.8 from 36 ratings, so the exact HomeAdvisor number varies by listing. Worth knowing: a 2018 Angi review describes a job that was never finished after repeated delays, a sharp outlier against everything since. Nothing in the record more recent than that repeats the complaint, and the written history from 2019 onward is uniformly about fast callbacks, clean work and fair quotes. For anything from a simple fixture swap to a full panel upgrade or an EV charger install, this is a well-documented, consistently reviewed shop — worth confirming current pricing and scheduling directly, since availability naturally shifts with how busy a small crew is.

Our old house (1937) has been accumulating electrical problems for a few years. We called and left messages for three electricians who had better reviews than most. One of those was P. W. DiMasi. He called back within the hour. He was the only one to call back! He sent a two-man crew the very next day. They asked us for a thorough run-down of the problems we were having. They got right to work and were very efficient. Among the problems they solved were two ceiling fixtures that were unreliable (sometimes going on, sometimes not). We were afraid to use them because, hey, it’s electricity, and that can be dangerous. So we asked them to look at those fixtures. When I got the invoice, it stated that they had changed the two bulbs in those fixtures. I called back and explained that we wanted the wiring inspected. To be fair, I had only used the vague phrase “look at those fixtures.” Mr. DiMasi accompanied the same crew back to our home the morning after I called him. They inspected the wiring of the two fixtures. They found and rectified a significant problem in one of them. We never received a bill for that second visit! They spent a solid hour on the second visit, but Mr. DiMasi felt that responding to our concerns was just part of doing the original job responsibly. He is clearly committed to doing excellent work, and standing behind it. TLDR: The P. W. DiMasi Company is extremely efficient, thorough, and responsible.
Great company to work with. Very responsive and professional. Highly recommend.
