J. Clarke Painting is a Brookline-based residential painter run by Jack Clarke, who says he learned the trade in Ireland from a family of painters — following his father and grandfather — before working with other Boston-area painting companies and starting his own shop; the company cites 22+ years of experience. It also holds a niche credential: Jack Clarke is a certified Fine Paints of Europe applicator, a premium specialty finish line. The public written record is thin so far. One detailed Google review, from December 2025, describes the crew arriving on schedule, doing careful prep before painting, and a "terrific job" cleaning up afterward, with the homeowner planning to rehire. Houzz separately shows a 4.9-star average across 11 ratings and 10 project photos in Brookline and Boston, listing interior painting, exterior painting, and cabinet refinishing as services, though no individual review text is shown there. Worth asking to walk through that Houzz project portfolio directly and to talk through the Fine Paints of Europe option if a premium finish matters for the job.
Allan and his team arrived at the scheduled time. They did an amazing job. Before painting, they did a great job prepping the room. When they finished, they did a terrific job cleaning up. I plan on hiring them to do another job. I highly recommend Clarke Painting for any painting work you need to be done
