The first thing to settle about Jab Construction LLC is the licence, because it is not current. The Massachusetts registry shows home improvement contractor registration #168285, held of record by JAB CONSTRUCTION LLC, as expired. BuildZoom puts the expiration at 27 January 2021, says it re-checked in April 2026 and still found it expired, and has zeroed the company's score and posted an alert on the profile for that reason. What the company built is on the permit record instead. Six permitted projects run from 2011 to 2018: three small residential jobs in Taunton in 2011 and 2012, valued at $8,000, $8,000 and $3,000; a bathroom remodel at 12 Dexter St in Waltham in 2014; and two jobs in Franklin in 2016 and 2018. The business sits at 306 Winthrop St in Taunton, with Catherine Gover listed as owner. No customer has written about the work anywhere that turns up, and no permit has been pulled under the name since 2018. That leaves a company with a small, old and entirely unreviewed history. If you are considering them, ask directly whether the registration has been renewed, get the number, and check it against the state before any money changes hands.
