Jason Du Remodeling — which also trades as Jason Du Construction — is a one-person Massachusetts LLC run by Jian Sheng Du, filed at 26 Morses Pond Road in Wellesley and working out of Malden. It builds new houses around greater Boston and renovates older ones: whole-house renovations, additions, kitchens and bathrooms, finished basements and attics, enclosed porches, replacement windows and vinyl siding, plus the occasional restaurant fit-out. The strongest thing on file is institutional rather than anecdotal. The Better Business Bureau has held a file since June 2008, records the business as started on 1 August 2006 — twenty years — and has accredited it since 30 March 2017 with an A+ rating, publishing no complaints. The company advertises that accreditation on its own site, and BBB's own record backs it up. What it has actually built is visible in its portfolio and in town records. The site lists projects by town — new homes in Weston and Lexington, whole-house renovations in Lexington and Needham, additions in Newton, Bedford, Canton, Wellesley, Cambridge and Lexington, finished basements in Lexington, Stoughton and Wayland, and a patio room in Acton. A Winchester building-permit column from November 2011 recorded Jason Du Construction of Malden contracting a re-shingling job for $7,000. Customer accounts are scarce but positive where they exist: a homeowner writing on a Boston-area listing described hiring the company to paint a Wellesley townhouse, said Jason visited personally and made useful suggestions, called the quote reasonable, and praised the crew's interior painting, ceiling work, drywall repair and texturing. Two practical notes before calling. There is no rating on any review platform, so the BBB record and references are what you have to go on — the site says references are available on request, and that is worth taking up. And our check of the Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registry did not return a registration under this trading name, so ask for the registration and Construction Supervisor numbers directly and verify them on the state's Contractor Hub before non-structural residential work starts.
