A 2025 customer said JC Fence Contractors installed about 400 feet of chain link fence around the back yard; Jerry responded with a plan and a quote, work started within a week, and Jayne sent timely updates. A 2025 customer said the crew replaced an old broken down fence with white vinyl. A 2024 customer said a 25+ year old black chain link fence around the pool was repaired and extended in a couple places: they painted the old posts, wove in replacement sections and installed a straightening wire at the bottom, with the estimate within a few days of the call and the repairs within a couple weeks. A 2024 customer said JC Fence Contractors performed multiple jobs at investment properties in Plainfield, CT. A 2023 customer said the owner personally came to give an estimate on a small project, and the crew completed the fence installation and cleaned up leftover debris. A recent customer paid a 50% deposit to extend a gate, was told it would be a quick job, then heard nothing for three weeks; no one showed up or called the following week, and her husband was met with hostility when he reached someone, though a refund was agreed. That customer said JC Fence had repaired the fence a couple years earlier without issue. A 2026 customer said a revised estimate promised for later that week never arrived after repeated requests over three months.
I provided JC Fence with a 50% deposit on May 27th to extend a gate going into my yard. I was told on the day I gave the deposit that it would be a quick job and they would call me the night before they were coming. I was a bit confused that there was no schedule to put me on and no provided timeframe but I left it at that. After not hearing anything for three weeks, my husband called and was told they would be out the following week, which was last week, and no one showed up or called. He called multiple times today with no answer in hopes of getting a refund so we could find another company that would actually put us on their schedule. He finally was able to reach someone and was met with hostility, but thankfully agreed to a refund. The gate extension was so we could bring our mower into our yard to mow, since we’ve been weed whacking it since the start of the season. If I was told the expected timeframe from the beginning or at least given accurate updates about the start date of the project, there wouldn’t have been an issue. This is a very unfortunate review to write, as JC Fence did a phenomenal job repairing our fence a couple years ago without issue, so I’m not sure why this is happening now, but based on recent reviews I’m not the only one experiencing a severe lack of communication with this company.
JC Fence Contractors have done a couple of fences on my property. Professional, punctual and ready to answer any of my questions. The crew are awesome! Just a great bunch of guys and Jayne in the office deserves a raise! Thank you JC FENCE for a wonderful experience.
We are so happy with our fence from JC fence! The fence absolutely elevated our pool area more than we could have imagined! Jc’s crew was fantastic and did a great job installing our fence. We highly recommend JC Fence to anyone.
Horrible communication and zero follow-up. Three months (1/27) ago I asked for a revised estimate and was told I'd get the new quote later that week. A month later I asked if there was an update and was told "shortly". Two weeks later I asked and again and was told it would be tomorrow (3/3). A week later I asked for an update and the next day was again told "shortly". Two weeks later I again asked for an update and the next day (3/30) was told later this week. On 4/7 I asked for an update. Silence on their part. On 4/17 I asked again and still have not received a response.
Excellent install jc and the crew! In ground pool fence. Catered to my needs Professional attitude and professional work ethics. Very very pleased!!!!!!! Recommend JC Fence and the dedicated crew!!!
