"He did my floors so well the only creaking I hear now is my bed frame." That August 2025 line is about as good as a flooring review gets. First Place Finish is Tim's shop in Agawam, and floors are what customers come back about — vinyl, sheet and wood, installed or completely replaced. The jobs they describe are in houses that were already lived-in and hard-used. In August 2025 a customer who had been handed their home down from their great-grandfather, and was hesitant about touching it, said all the vinyl flooring was replaced and the stains, scratches and odd dents were gone. Another the same month wrote in Russian that the crew laid the floors beautifully and the house looked new. In December 2025 a customer said the new vinyl floors went in perfectly. Around the floors sits a general finish trade. An October 2025 customer had a couple of rooms painted with the cracks and imperfections repaired first, and called the result excellent; a March 2025 customer hired him for crack repair and painting; another in August 2025 said the kitchen came out completely transformed. In a January 2025 review a customer said Tim had put up a six-foot fence to close in the back yard the year before, explained the whole process and the pricing breakdown before starting, and cleaned up every night because three dogs spend their days out there. A customer writing in April 2024 made the same point about his estimate: he answered the questions instead of selling. The written history is short, though — fourteen accounts reaching back to February 2023, four of them posted on a single day in August 2025. Best fit is a floor you want pulled up and replaced, particularly vinyl or sheet over an older subfloor, together with the patching and painting that tends to come with it. Ask for the pricing breakdown in writing the way the fence customer got one, and confirm who will be on site each day.
