An August 2025 customer alleged that JEB Landscape took a materials deposit, missed planned starts and stopped responding, leaving the money unreturned after more than four months. The reviewer said they had requested a refund and submitted complaints to BBB and the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. Separately, BBB gives the Hyannis business a C+ because it failed to respond to one complaint. JEB's customers have also described completed patios, walkways, lawn maintenance and masonry work. In a February 2024 Google review, a homeowner said they first hired the company for a front walkway and dry wells, then hired it again to redo a pool patio because they were pleased with the work and crew. Another February 2024 customer praised a patio installation and working with Douglas and his team. A November 2024 homeowner described cobblestones along a stone-sealed driveway and a cobblestone apron. They said Doug hired another company to do the driveway itself; Doug and his workers did the cobblestone work. The reviewer praised his responsiveness to calls and questions, including a request for a particular driveway stone color. A separate customer that month identified Doug as the owner, said his team had completed three jobs for them, and praised communication and fair prices. BBB names the owner as Douglas Tejada-Diaz and lists the business at 7 Franklin Avenue in Hyannis. Houzz advertises landscape maintenance and construction, masonry, dry wells, patios, retaining walls and paver installation. Angi's profile explicitly says Spanish is spoken. Google lists 4.6 stars from 11 ratings, while Angi lists 4.3 from 16. The older accounts include both praise and a service complaint. An August 2022 customer described working with Doug and his team for almost ten years on jobs ranging from lawn maintenance to large masonry projects, calling them reliable and friendly. An August 2021 Angi reviewer praised promptness and communication. But a January 2017 Angi reviewer complained that basic customer service and follow-up were seriously lacking. In May 2017, another customer named Kleber and praised his speed, attentiveness and follow-up.
This company will provide a quote, take a deposit "for materials", set a date (several non-starters), then ghost you. First excuse, when a call was answered, was to blame "issues with dig safe" (dig safe said they didn't have a req for property) and the materials supplier for not doing the agreed drop to driveway (supplier knew nothing about such an order). But JEB would take care of all that and start the next Monday. After two weeks of no activity all communications (VM, Text, EM) went dead/ghosted. The only call I got from JEB was when I requested my deposit back after 1.5 months of nothing. Then it was all about him/them having scheduling issues and being "out of the country". To date, now over 4 months, JEB has ignored all request to return MY MONEY. Doug (the owner of JEB land and hard scape company) has done 3 jobs for us. He and his team do impeccable work, and take no shortcuts like others have (that he then fixed). He is the kindest young man and contractor we have met. He is honest, dependable, and a good communicator. His prices are very fair, and he stands by his work.
I contacted Doug to install cobblestones along a stone-sealed driveway (he hired the company to do the driveway) with a cobblestone apron. I love the work he and his workers did at my house, and several neighbors said they took his name from his truck. He was very responsive to my calls and questions. I am the first to admit I could have driven him crazy with my request for a certain color stone for the driveway, but he was great and made sure I got what I wanted. I highly recommend him
