JFM Construction and Property Services describes itself on Angi and HomeAdvisor as a company that replaces vinyl siding, installs windows and does bathroom remodels, and both sites list decks and porches, siding, windows and doors, kitchen remodels and additions among its services. A mainehomedesign.com article has named the company, of Sanford, and John Molligi as the leader of one of its crews. It holds 3.5 stars from 6 ratings on both Angi and HomeAdvisor, with 33% of those ratings at one star. A 2025 customer said they paid almost $30,000 for a roof, extensions on both sides and a new door, that the job took more than four months when it should have taken four weeks, and that the work caused almost $19,000 in water damage during construction and about $16,000 more since. That customer also said two windows could not be used because of a miscalculation in pitch, and that an exterior outlet he was supposed to replace still had exposed wires almost two years later. A 2025 customer said he refused to finish their addition unless they paid an additional $15,000 for extra costs that were never discussed, that their kitchen cabinet doors were not given back, and that a 2-3 month addition was still not completed after 5 months. A 2025 customer said John had done several odd jobs on their property and was helpful and responsive each time. A 2019 customer praised John's pricing and said they had used his services many times.
“With the help of a crew led by John Molligi of JFM Construction and Property Services of Sanford and a 26-foot box truck, the Benezras took the refrigerator they came for, as well as bookcases, a two-sided desk, a built-in bunkbed, a dining room set, kitchen cabinets, lighting, plumbing fixtures, wood ceilings, medicine cabinets, and bathroom vanities.”
Refused to finish our addition unless we paid him an additional $15,000 for ?extra costs? that were never discussed. Stole our kitchen cabinet doors and would not give them back. Was never there to work and always called out ?sick? but would be partying the night before he was supposed to show up to work. A 2-3 month addition was still never completed after 5 months and we already had over paid him following his contract guidelines. Did not follow his own written contract and is confrontational and aggressive to talk to. He is a SCAMMER beware!!
John has done several odd jobs on my property & has been helpful & responsive each time. Would definitely hire him again.
I would NOT hire this "pro"! If you do, do so at your own risk!!! It took him more than four months to do a job that should have taken four weeks. He "work" caused almost $19,000 in water damage during construction, and approximately another $16,000 worth of water damage since. I paid this shyster almost $30,000 for a roof, extensions on both sides, and instalation of a new door. I still, almost two years later have exposed wires from an exterior outlet he was supposed to replace. I have two windows I can't use because of his miscalculation in pitch. His fix, "buy new windows." I again warn you, use jfm at your own risk!
John is a strong worker, it's hard to find the utmost quality work in our area. His pricing is by far the best I've seen. I have used his services many times, I never been more happier than I have with any other contractor.
