JG Finish Carpentry

JG Finish Carpentry is Jurandir Olegario's one-person carpentry outfit in Watertown, Massachusetts. Jay, as reviewers call him, started the company in 2019; Thumbtack's own profile for the business now lists it as JC Works Inc, saying it was formerly JG Finish Carpentry under the same owner. The work spans finish carpentry, trim and molding, custom cabinetry, framing, and built furniture, along with deck and stair projects. Reviewers keep coming back to the same combination: quick turnaround and a finished result that holds up. One recent review said he "did an excellent job for a really fair price" and was "very pleasant to work with"; another called him professional, said he worked quickly, and communicated well throughout. A March 2026 review described hiring him to renovate a deck — punctual, high-quality work, "the job was perfect" — and a fourth said he did exactly what was asked and that they'd call him again without hesitation. Thumbtack shows a 5.0-star average across five reviews and 22 completed projects. BBB gives the company an A+ grade, though it isn't a BBB Accredited Business. Thumbtack's profile also lists a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license, #219904, for Olegario — worth confirming directly with the state before signing anything. For finish carpentry, cabinetry, or a deck or stair project from an owner-operator with a consistent track record, this is a reasonable call — confirm the license and, since Thumbtack lists the business under the newer name JC Works Inc, ask which name to expect on the contract.
