Silva's Home Improvement is a one-man-run crew out of Watertown — reviewers name owner Tiago Silva directly in almost every account, from a full home renovation in Harvard Square to a from-scratch basement conversion in West Roxbury. The company, formally Silva General Home Improvement, Inc., started in 2023 and holds a Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Minority Business Enterprise certification through 2028. Every review on file is 5 stars, and the jobs described are substantial: a homeowner called the team 'professional' and 'reliable' after a start-to-finish home renovation, a West Roxbury basement was rebuilt into a living room, kitchen, bedroom, full bathroom and storage space with new HVAC, plumbing and electrical, and a commercial space was remodeled from the bottom up on a tight budget. One reviewer, describing themselves as the son of a former contractor, singled out a large back deck rebuild as 'solidly built' and said it 'will last decades.' BBB lists the company as a single-employee operation with an A+ grade (not accredited), which lines up with reviewers describing Tiago personally on-site running crews and subcontractors rather than a larger firm. All the reviews on file are from 2026, so there isn't yet a multi-year track record to draw on. A reasonable fit for a homeowner planning a full renovation, addition, or basement conversion who wants the owner directly involved; given the young, one-employee operation, it's worth confirming crew capacity and timeline for a larger project before booking.
Tiago did a full renovation of my home in Harvard Square, Cambridge, and the quality of his work was excellent from start to finish. He was professional, reliable, and took pride in every detail of the project. I would confidently recommend Tiago to anyone looking for a skilled general contractor for their next renovation or construction project.
Always great service! Very responsive and reliable. Highly recommend!
I couldn't be more satisfied with the work done by Tiago Silva. He did an amazing renovation in my kitchen, from start to finish.
Do you have some work that needs to be done? Do you want it done correctly? Do you want it done at a reasonable price? ...and on time? Do yourself a favor. Contact Tiago at Silva Home Improvements! Over the past year or so I have engaged Silva Home Improvements on several occasions. Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, bathroom upgrade, painting...anything you need. Most recently, Tiago and his team completely replaced my large back deck. As the son of a former contractor, I've learned what quality work looks like. This deck is so solidly built, it will last decades. All of Tiago's work has been excellent. Need quality work done at a fair price? Contact Silva Home Improvements. Your home will thank you! John
Tiago and his very professional team performed an amazing transformation of a barren basement at our home in West Roxbury into new livable space including a beautiful living room/kitchen, bedroom, full bathroom and storage area, as well as new HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other customer improvements. Tiago provided great insights and recommendations to improve even the slightest details. I can't say enough good things about how courteous, polite and skilled his team and subcontractors are. I found his prices to be very reasonable, both on scope items and extra work. I would hire Silva Home Improvements again and recommend them for future projects. Jim S.
