JH Painting Services

JH Painting Services is a Marlborough painting contractor founded and led by Jafet Oliveira, covering central and eastern Massachusetts — Marlborough, Worcester, Framingham, Natick, Shrewsbury and towns as far as Boston, Cambridge and Newton — with interior, exterior, cabinet, residential and commercial painting plus carpentry and power washing. The paperwork backs it up: its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, the Better Business Bureau grades it A+ with zero complaints on file, and it's EPA Lead-Safe Certified. On Thumbtack, Jafet passed a background check and the company was named a 2024 Top Pro, with a 5.0 rating across 14 ratings there. The five reviews on file, all from 2024 and all five stars, split between two kinds of jobs. On interior painting, customers describe fast scheduling and clean work — one said the crew "performed the work flawlessly," another joked the rest of the house "isn't nearly as nice" after Jafet repainted a room. On the power-washing side, one customer had a deck and railing done and called it "brand new," and another had a roof, siding and a mold-covered deck cleaned across a two-story home and called the quality "awesome." Its self-reported years in business don't line up across sources — the company's own website says 7 years, its Thumbtack profile lists 11, and BBB records the company's incorporation date as July 2018, which is closer to 8. Worth a quick question about which is accurate, but nothing else in the record raises a flag: this is a contractor whose licensing, BBB standing and reviews all point the same direction.
