I have used Jim Rogers Construction many times over the years and recently as a few weeks ago. His work ethic is unmatched by anyone I’ve ever used before . Quality construction at very reasonable prices.

I had called this guy to get a price on doing my residential driveway, 3 days later he just showed up at my house about 6pm while I was getting an estimate from another contractor. He starts running around with a string and a level telling me how he's not just another paving contractor he's an architect and an engineer and these other guys won't do the job right, not like he can. The other contractor gave me a price of $3700 to do my driveway then I asked Jim If he could do my driveway the right way for $5000 meaning proper prep with process stone and wooden edging so my driveway edges won't break off and he said yes. He worked half days maybe 2 or 3 days a week and It took forever to do the edging. The wood he used for the edging he said he got for free from someones old deck. I paid for the stakes to hold the edging In place out of my own pocket because he was trying to cut his own out of scrap wood. He showed up with no tools, he used my shovels rakes and wheel barrow. He would show up out of the clear blue with a full load of process but would only dump a very small amount, he did that 3 times which lead me to believe he was skimming loads that someone else paid for, stealing small amounts so they won't be missed. It was very obvious that he didn't want to pull any money out of his own pocket even though I added the extra $1300 more than the next highest bid. He never finished the process or packing anything down and kept complaining he wasn't making enough money. Even though He didn't ask for any money I gave him a check for half, $2500. After that he stopped answering his phone or returning messages. This guy Is a beat artist and a weasel. Hopefully I learned my lesson so someone else doesn't have to. Oh one more thing , all his equipment / trucks/ trailers / rollers, all look like they belong in a museum, all rusted out junk nothing like they look on his website.
