John P. Ryder

John P. Ryder is a one-name plumbing operation out of Mashpee, and the only public trace of him is a paper trail: 69 permitted jobs in BuildZoom's building-permit database, 17 of them in the past three years. The work behind those permits runs narrow and consistent — plumbing and gas fitting, almost all of it on Cape Cod with a scattering of jobs in inland Massachusetts towns. BuildZoom carries no customer reviews for him, so the permit trail is all there is to go on, and nothing here speaks to how any of those jobs actually went. Licensing is the thing to pin down before calling. BuildZoom lists two Massachusetts plumber licence numbers, #13619 and #10693, but marks both "License Not Verified" and shows a last-seen expiration of May 2024; the same page prints a "no active license on file" alert and lists a construction-supervisor licence, CS-075742, as inactive and at one point cancelled. None of that is a state-registry check in either direction. For routine residential plumbing and gas work on the Cape he has the permit history to show he does the work regularly. Ask him for his current licence number, verify it with the Commonwealth's licensing board yourself, and get the scope in writing before anyone starts.
