Jonathan Keep Landscape Design

Jonathan Keep Landscape Design describes itself as a New England-based practice creating residential landscapes. The company says Jonathan Keep founded it in 2001 and is its principal, and its website names Lexington, Cambridge, Wellesley, Lincoln, Rockport, Westport, Lancaster and Boston as its service area. Houzz shows 5.0 stars from 27 ratings, and Google shows 4.8 stars from 25 ratings. Local news sites, including bostonglobe.com and theberkshireedge.com, have listed the firm as the landscape designer on projects. A 2022 customer said Jonathan handled design, sourced materials and plantings, and hired and managed the landscaping company that did the work on the site of their modernist home's rehab and addition. That 2022 customer said a major part of the scope was the renovation and extension of an existing stone wall, reconstructed in the style of the original, built in the mid '50s. A 2021 customer said Jonathan led a backyard transformation in which an old inground pool was demolished and a space with undulating stonewalls and a blue stone patio was created. A 2024 customer said the services he provided included meeting regulatory requirements, site development, trees and planting, stone walls, stairs and patios, and that he helped convert an abandoned property to a low-maintenance meadow of native plants. A 2024 customer in the Berkshires said Jonathan selected plants and flowers that would thrive naturally in the environment. A 2025 customer said Jonathan recommended the team that did the work, and that they were invited to be on the Cambridge secret garden tour. A 2021 reviewer said that in an initial phone consult Jonathan decided in less than five minutes that the job was too small for his time, without coming out to look at the space.
