When a February 2025 oil furnace cleaning went wrong and left a strong oil smell through the house, the owner himself stayed on it until it was resolved — and the customer wrote a five-star review about the recovery. That's a useful thing to know about a contractor: what happens when the job doesn't go right. Joy's HVAC is a Farmington, New Hampshire LLC started in 2007, with Dana Joy Jr. as owner and Danielle Joy as co-owner, doing residential and commercial heating and cooling plus commercial refrigeration. Its New Hampshire HVAC licence, GF0802504, is active in the state registry under Dana L Joy, Jr. BuildZoom shows 45 permitted projects with a typical permit value near $7,499 and recent mechanical and gas permits in Rochester and Portsmouth. The reviews describe an outfit that quotes carefully and moves fast. A June 2026 customer who lost both a hot water heater and a boiler called three companies, got a same-day quote from Dana in person and installation the next day. A December 2024 buyer got a proposal built from measurements of their 1,200-square-foot ranch — a two-ton Mitsubishi hyper-heat condenser matched to the existing ductwork, a cost breakdown, a 12-year warranty and a year of service included. In August 2024 another customer was pointed toward rebate and incentive programs and had the line-hide vinyl dropped off early so they could paint it to match. A whole 19-year-old system was replaced in two days in August 2025, and later that month a crew came back on their own to reroute an exhaust vent further from the house's lower windows. The counterweight is a June 2024 one-star account of a proactive system replacement that kept failing: repairs declared finished that failed within the hour, a warranty coverage the customer says they had to point out themselves, and more than four weeks without a fix while the house sat above 85 degrees with a young family in it. A 2022 reviewer also flagged an estimate that wasn't as accurate as it should have been and an invoice that arrived with no dollar figure on it. Its Google average, 4.3 across 45 ratings, sits below what the written reviews on their own suggest. Worth a call for a system replacement where you want the sizing done properly. Get the estimate itemized in writing, and pin down warranty coverage and the response commitment if the new system acts up.

My phone calls were answered by real people with empathy for my urgency and quick response to get me back in working order. I got a quote the same day and installation the following day. Dana, the owner came to my home to help me choose the best option for replacement. He was so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about all of the options on the market. They provide installation and ongoing maintenance and emergency service. Sara manages the business side and provided the contract documents, completely took care of enrolling me in a great financing plan, provided all of the information I need to submit for a rebate, scheduled the install and followed up with the names of the techs and their arrival time. The technicians were experienced, efficient and walked me through any questions I had. lastly, his price was very reasonable and fair. I am thrilled with Joy’s HVAC!
Excellent customer service right from my initial call to schedule a PM on my boiler. The woman who answered the phone was very upbeat, pleasant and knowledgeable. She made scheduling a breeze and made me laugh. Very funny woman. The tech arrived on time, was polite, knew his job, communicated keeping me looped. We have had a great experience with Joy's. They installed a new boiler this spring, fixed a leaking water heater this summer and a leaking boiler circulator pump this fall. We have kept them busy! The office is very responsive, and the technicians have handled our issues with ease. Want to give a specific thank you to Matt, who came out late in the afternoon to fix the circulator pump issue, gave a quick recommendation, made the fix and stuck around to make sure that pump and all the others were in good shape.
This company is prestigious in integrity. They not only did a wonderful boiler install last fall but also just returned to incorporate a more extensive diversion of the exhaust vent taking it further away from my houses lower windows. Marvelous company owners and employees are a credit to the industry they are in. I’m going to use them for all my AC needs as well. Kudos all around‼️ 💕🤗
