A hartfordbusiness.com article has described Joyce Van Lines as an Oxford-based moving and storage company. Its own site lists local and interstate moving, corporate relocation, office and industrial moves, college and military relocation, and packing, and names Oxford, Indianapolis, Fort Myers and Redlands in its service area. A recent Google customer said Troy, the driver and team lead on their interstate household move, treated each piece as if it was his own. A recent customer said the crew spent time at the new location making sure the furniture was positioned where they wanted it. A recent customer said the two movers didn't take breaks until they were done. A recent 1-star reviewer said they watched the front end of a U-Haul pull onto the scale behind a Joyce Van Lines truck at TA 207 in Binghamton, NY, and called it "putting a 6000 lb thumb on the scale when customers are paying by weight." A 2026 customer who hired the company for packing, about three months of storage and an interstate move said pricing for the moving and storage was not explained clearly. That 2026 customer said half of their things did not show up when the truck arrived to deliver, and the driver later called to say the other half had been located. A 2025 customer who moved from Nashville, Tennessee to NYC described the movers as unorganized and said the company was refusing to compensate them for a $799 kitchen aid. A 2025 customer praised the foreman at pickup but said that at the storage facility boxes marked fragile were put underneath heavy items. A 2025 customer said Merle Jenkins was on time for the estimate and that three guys unpacked the truck in Montana on a cold day. A 2025 customer who moved a three-level home from Indiana to Arizona said all their goods arrived in perfect condition. Its BBB page shows an A+ grade and accreditation.

“Joyce Van Lines Offers ‘White Glove Service’ For Moving And Storage”
“the buyer intends to use the property for Joyce Van Lines, an Oxford-based moving and storage company. The building will be used primarily to store customers’ belongings, he said.”
The movers were exceptional. They didn't take breaks until they were done. It's been a very long time since I had people as dedicated as these two men.
The crew that moved us were fabulous! Very polite and friendly, and spent time at the new location making sure the furniture was positioned where we wanted it. They worked really hard all day to pack and unpack us. This is the second time we have used Callahan Brothers/Joyce Van Lines and would highly recommend them. Great value too!
We can't say enough good things about our experience using Joyce Van Lines for our interstate household move. Everything was planned and completed in a timely manner with no surprises. The process was simple and every representative of the company was professional but personable. We were especially thankful to have Troy as our driver and team lead. He went above and beyond on both ends of our move and treated each piece as if it was his own.
I watched these guys pull the front end of a uhaul onto the scale behind the joycevanlines truck at TA 207 in binghamton NY around 6:20pm on 5/22/26. The uhaul was obviously with the truck as they pulled off the scale and parked next to each other, talking etc... I tried calling the company and couldn't get a hold of anyone Friday night on a holiday weekend. I hope this practice of putting a 6000 lb thumb on the scale when customers are paying by weight isn't common. If you were wondering why your 500lb couch weighed 6k lbs on your bill this may give you a better idea... Edit because I can't figure out how to reply to the reply: Joyce van lines, are you not understanding that I watched the front steer axle of the uhaul truck pull onto the scale with the tractor trailer DELIBERATELY adding weight innacurately because the whole uhaul was not on the scale with the tractor trailer. If I was not clear in my initial review I apologize. If you are now attempting to justify, deceive and gaslight your potential and existing customers, well let's just hope it's obvious to anyone reading this.
I recently engaged Joyce to pack the contents of my house, move my belongings to storage for approximately 3 months and then move them, interstate, to my new home once renovations were complete. The packing was efficient. The unpacking was minimal as we preferred to unpack all boxes at our own pace. My issues were these: pricing for the moving and storage was not explained clearly at all. Second, my customer service rep for my move was out of the office during critical times during my move and difficult to reach - which was important. Lastly, and most importantly. When the moving truck arrived at my house to deliver my belongings, only half of my things showed up. The truck driver called the office and they responded that I had two storage contracts, one for short term and one for long term. Not true. We said 3-4 months of storage was needed up front. The driver left and then called that the other half of my belongings were located (oh, fantastic) and that the truck would return later the same week. Packing, moving, unloading, storage, loading and moving are what we paid a premium for. Total failure on the storage and moving responsibilities - which should be core competencies. Only compensation received was a waived storage fee for three months for half of my belongings (which were the ones left off the truck!) I simply cannot recommend this company for your moving or storage needs.
