JP Maguire Associates is the company people call after the pipe bursts or the fire is out. A local news site has described it as a Waterbury-based property damage clean up and restoration firm. The company says it has been in business 43 years, and its website lists fire, storm and water damage restoration, mold removal and asbestos removal. A recent customer whose water pipe broke in a wall behind the washer said they came up that same day and started working. That customer said they left dryers, heaters and fans running to dry the place out before removing the soaked sheet rock and insulation, then redid the hardwood floors and rebuilt the garage, over a total of 5 1/2 months. After a chimney fire extended to a house fire, a recent customer said Ky, the owner, was on site a couple times. A recent customer said the company repaired all of the wall, repainted and cleaned the carpets after foundation issues that another company had repaired. A recent customer thanked the team for helping with a kitchen flood. A 2025 customer said JP Maguire was on the scene within 30 minutes the night of a house fire, and Ty and his crew boarded up and secured the home. That 2025 customer said Jamie Maguire himself took over the project when it looked like the reconstruction might go longer than anticipated. A 2026 customer said a fire restoration job came with a 10 year warranty, and a small problem three years later was solved in 4 days at no charge. A 2025 customer said they called back and left a message four days in a row after the company called to set up an appointment, and never received a call back. A 2022 customer said the mitigation manager, Ty, gave an estimate of over $3000 to clean the inside of a toilet, a few floor tiles and throw out a rug, and became sarcastic and rude when they asked to cancel. A 2022 reviewer called a manager named Ty rude and very unprofessional while calling the workers kind. On Google it holds 3.9 stars from 45 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0541781, as active, held by J P MAGUIRE ASSOCIATES INC.

JP McGuire took an already aggravating situation and made it right. After having foundation issues, that were repaired by another company, JP McGuire came in and repaired all of the wall and repainted everything, then came and cleaned the carpets. No issues on my end.
OMG! Let’s start there, they came to my house that a water pipe broke in a wall behind the washer. Flooded a whole end of my house hardwood floors, sheet rock absorb water had to repaint rooms redo the floors that’s not the half of it had to take half the wall out upstairs In the water went through the ceiling of my garage downstairs and destroyed my whole garage and work area. I freaked out when I found it didn’t know what to do. I shut the water off. Called the insurance company to see what to do. They recommended J P McGuire and I’ll tell you what it’s the best thing I ever did was call these guys they came up right away that same day and started working and taking care of stuff right off the bat helping me move stuff in the garage which soaked everything Much of everything totally ruined. I had my antique truck down there too. All the goddamn sheet rock fell down on top of the truck. It was a real shit show. I never had anything like this happened before so I was kind of in shock at all the damage that happened because of a goddamn Water pipe ANYWAY, these guys we’re the most professional people I’ve ever met. Every single worker that came to my house was happy to be there and friendly as friendly can be. They fixed everything to perfection. I had no not even one problem with J P McGuire. If something bad happens to your house I recommend calling these guys they took care of me from beginning to end everything they did all the work they did was perfect. I was kind of sorry to see them go when they were done. I made some nice friendships and connections. They were at my house a total of 5 1/2 months that’s how long it took to fix everything they were working every day and it was the middle of winter couldn’t have been at a worse time temperatures below zeroThey bought massive dryers heatersand fans. They left them continuously running for a week or more. They came here a couple times a day to fill up that diesel tank to make sure They dried the whole place out before they started to remove all the sheet rock and soaked insulation, then they startedReconstruction. They They redid my hardwood floors, painted the bedrooms that got sucked up sheet rock, water stains. Rebuilt my entire garage downstairs to perfection So if this testimonial isn’t good enough, I don’t know what would be better. I couldn’t have been happier you can trust these guys. They were just freaking awesome. If anything like this ever happens again, they’re gonna be the first people I call! Ask for Jerry or Sean or anybody they’re all very friendly there. We had a chimney fire which extended to a house fire. It was minimal damage but affected our master bedroom and our basement. We were referred to JP Maguire by an outside person and can not be more pleased with this company!! From start to finish they were awesome! They do fabulous work and their communication is spot on. Shout out to Jaime and Evan, you guys are awesome! Ky, the owner was on site a couple times. Thankyou Ky,Jaime, Evan and all the people that were here to get the job done!

This has been a long and arduous process that has been made almost enjoyable by the extraordinary group of employees at JP Maguire. Every single person working on this was kind, helpful, respectful and all true professionals. Their work was perfect and their attention to detail was amazing. We feel very fortunate that we had your team helping us with the kitchen flood.
