JPS Tree Services LLC is a tree service with 4.9 stars from 67 Google ratings. A recent customer had two oak trees and one massive oak sprawled over the house taken down, said John sent updates while they were out of town, and gave four stars because hydraulic fluid and gasoline ended up on the blacktop driveway. A recent customer said a huge limb took out the power lines to their lot in Cromwell, and that one phone call to John got the emergency handled. A recent customer said John and his team trimmed hedges more than 10 feet tall around the perimeter of the property. A recent customer said John's price was far lower than other quotes and the work was done within three days of the quote, with two trees removed. In a 2024 review, a customer said John and his team cut 11 trees and trimmed 4 in one day, pointed out a large stress crack in a maple close to the house, and sent photos and videos of progress during the day. A 2023 customer said JPS had equipment compact enough to fit through one fence section, where other companies wanted to remove two sections and a post. A 2023 customer said the five trees were removed well but the equipment left over $1000.00 in lawn damage after they were told it was lawn friendly. A 2023 customer said a tree limb fell on their tent shed and a trunk rolled into the house and damaged the siding, and that after saying they would fix it the company never got back to them. A 2025 customer said a big machine was used for stump grinding on a small lawn.
John and his team were fantastic! I had two normal oak trees taken down as well as one massive oak tree that sprawled completely over my house, and I had received 8+ quotes for the job ranging in equipment and cost, but John was the most reasonable, fair, and used the least invasive equipment. He was very good at communicating, drawing up contracts, as well as doing the work very efficiently. I was out of town for a large portion of the work, but John sent me updates as well as completed the work in a timely fashion. The only reason for 4/5 stars was the hydraulic fluid and gasoline that found its way onto my blacktop driveway, I would have preferred having them put cardboard down under the chipper and fuel their chainsaws in the grass. I will have cardboard on hand next time! Very minimal yard damage from the tree falling and moving, and an excellent cleanup job! Will be using JPS in the future for all my tree cutting needs! Would recommend to anyone!!
I had a great experience with this tree service. John was very friendly, genuine, and polite from the beginning. I was initially concerned about the typically high cost of tree services, but John offered a more reasonable price than other companies I contacted. He was able to do the job the very next day, and the work was fast, clean, and well done. I felt very comfortable working with him and appreciated how respectful and honest he was throughout the process. I would definitely recommend John to anyone who needs tree services!
John and his team did an excellent job trimming my hedges which span the perimeter of the property and are greater than 10’ in height. His estimate was very reasonable and he did the job in a timely manner. John is great to work with and I highly recommend him! Great job!
JPS removed a very large, rotting tree that was endangering the house. They were prompt, formal, and answered all of our questions. Price was reasonable and the finished work was perfect. We will be calling for another tree in the future!
