JRS II Electric, Inc. is an electrical contractor whose website says it provides services across all of Western Massachusetts, both commercial and residential, plus certified emergency light and alarm testing and repairs. It lists Springfield, Chicopee, West Springfield, Ludlow, Westfield, Agawam, Southwick, Hadley and Amherst as its service area. A 2019 customer said JRS Electric was the first company they emailed after the October rain/wind storm and that it showed up that day to repair their issue. A 2021 customer wrote of fair prices and being on time. A 2024 customer said the company was quick to come and assist with a small breaker issue in their apartment. A recent customer said they made an appointment three weeks in advance, no one showed, and after 45 minutes someone called to say they would not be able to come. A 2022 customer of five years said that during a large electric job, after a stove top was placed under a new outlet, the company said the new cabinets had to come down, the new drywall and insulation be removed and all wiring be redone. That 2022 customer said the simpler fix a carpenter had recommended was completed only after they called the electrical inspector, who spoke directly to the owner. The same 2022 customer said they were charged without prior notice for driving time, lunches, breaks and overtime, and that a new refrigerator tripping a newly installed outlet went unrepaired for more than two months, with the company saying it would repair it only once the large bill was paid in full.
If I can give zero star to this company I’ll. I made appointment with them 3 weeks in advance. Then time comes and they never showed after 45 minutes someone called and mentioned that they won’t able to come to my place. They wasting my time. They’re very unresponsive and play with people’s time. Bad experience with them
Very quick to come and assist us with our small breaker issue in our apartment. Very polite, patient and efficient. Thank you so much!
unable to problem solve, unprofessional, unethical After 5 years as a loyal customer (company under different ownership during that time), it's unfortunate to have to write this review. During a large electric job, a stove top was placed under a new outlet. Carpenter recommended an easy way to fix this; JRS II said the new cabinets had to come down, the new drywall removed, the new insulation removed and all wiring redone. I repeatedly asked for another solution that would not cost time and money and was told there was no way. At a loss as to why, I called the electrical inspector who then spoke directly to the owner of JRS II and the simple, cost effective solution was only then completed (the same one carpenter had recommended that I was told was impossible). Additionally was charged, without prior notice, for driving time, lunches, breaks, and overtime. Company has not repaired a small problem (new refrigerator trips brand new outlet they installed--but works in old outlets) for more than two months. They said they would repair *only* when the large bill was completely paid in full. Once that happened, they have still not come to fix the issue. The only thing a loyal customer wants to hear is, "how can I make it right?" No other defense is necessary.
Excellent fair prices on time and he knows his stuff definitely recommend this guy thank you Jay
My husband and I needed an electrician after the October rain/wind storm. JRS Electric was the first company I emailed. The response time was prompt and they showed up that day to repair our issue. Very professional!!! We will use them in the future. Thanks to a great company! Missy
