A customer who has had JT Madison cutting their lawn for more than 25 years wrote in May 2026 that the job still comes back neat, on time, and with someone willing to listen when something needs adjusting. Long stretches like that are what this Rowley company runs on — people sign up for a season and stay signed up. Tom Madison owns it and, by customers' accounts, works in it: a client of several years wrote in April 2026 that he is always available to talk through whatever they were thinking of doing next, from maintenance to retaining walls to yard drainage. Bill leads crews and gets named constantly. Leslie handles the phones, and in April 2025 called one household twice with updates when wet ground pushed their spring cleanup back. The company's site describes landscape, hardscape, irrigation and snow work out of 600 Main Street, covering Rowley, Georgetown, Ipswich, Topsfield, Newburyport and the towns between. The bulk of it is the seasonal rhythm: spring cleanups and pruning, mowing and mulch beds through the summer, then fall cleanups where, as one December 2025 customer put it, the crew went behind the bushes and blew out every leaf before hauling them off. Bigger jobs come up alongside — a hardscaped square a July 2025 customer said the crew imagined better than they could describe, loam and seed, a trench dug at short notice that October for an HVAC unit. Winter is its own business: the operations manager at the Garrison Inn wrote in January 2025 that crews arrive as soon as a storm starts, keeping walkways, entries and guest parking clear. Not every account is that smooth. In October 2025 a residential customer gave three stars, writing that the lawn was kept cut all season but that damage to their property went unacknowledged and that messages about problems went unanswered. In May 2024 another said grass clippings were dumped on their property again after they had asked for that to stop, leaving clumps on the lawn and in the beds. A December 2024 customer wished someone had called before the crew arrived and found there was confusion about what the job was, though they said Cory was good about it afterwards. And in April 2026 a neighbour left a single star over leaf blowers running from two until half past six. For a property you want handled the whole year — mowed in July, cleared of leaves in November, plowed in February — this is a crew people keep for decades, and the seasonal work draws the steadiest praise. Before the first visit, settle two things: where clippings and debris go, and who you call when something on the property gets damaged.
