The company says it is woman-owned and operated, names Kerry Hollstein as owner and president, and states that it carries Certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) status, OSHA certification, and more than 30 years in the trade. Those are the company's own statements about itself. Where things get thin is the customer side. BuildZoom carries no reviews for them at all, and Google shows a single five-star rating. The lone written comment there, posted in January 2023, describes a homeowner shopping for storm repairs after Hurricane Ian and getting quoted for the repair instead of a whole new roof — but it names a contact the company's own site does not list among its leadership, so it may well belong to a same-named roofer in another state. One comment either way is not enough to judge a crew on. The other thing worth raising before you sign anything: BuildZoom's profile carries a quality alert saying no active license is on file, and the only license records it shows are two unverified Rhode Island commercial roofer entries whose last confirmed expiration dates were May 2022 and September 2020. Those are that directory's records, not a registry check, and directory license data is routinely stale or attached to the wrong company — but they are worth resolving directly with the company. For a facility manager, property owner or general contractor sizing up a flat-roof replacement or a commercial reroof, they are a plausible bidder: the permit values say they handle work at that scale, and their recent jobs are documented in town records around the South Shore. Ask to see current licensing and insurance certificates, and ask for references from the last year or two of jobs — with almost nothing written by their customers in public, references are the only way to check the workmanship claim.
