Highlights
- Brick step repair — a recent customer described resetting bricks and re-pointing every joint
- Kept promises — a recent customer said he did what he promised, when promised
- Re-pointing depth — a recent customer thought it could have gone deeper
On a recent front-steps job, Kevin Tanguay pressure washed the brick steps, reset 4-5 loose bricks, re-pointed all the joints, then water sealed them. That customer said he did exactly what he promised, when he promised, responded quickly to the first inquiry, and finished the job within a week. They gave four stars rather than five, saying the re-pointing depth (under an inch) could have been deeper, though they added that the depth was not discussed in advance. A 2023 customer said Kevin rebuilt one of their chimneys and would recommend him. A 2022 customer said they built a brick step for them.

Kevin Tanguay recently repaired and re-pointed my front brick steps. I am very happy with the result. He first pressure washed the steps, then reset 4-5 loose bricks, re-pointed ALL the joints, then water sealed. He did exactly what he promised, and when he promised. He responded quickly to my initial inquiry and the job was finished within a week. So, why not 5 stars?.. I am a tough grader. Also, I think the re-pointing depth (< 1") could have been deeper, but we did not discuss that in advance so somewhat on me. The proof of the workmanship quality will be in how long the repair lasts.
