Retaining walls, patios and granite steps are the jobs RD Outdoor Landscape Services gets hired for. The company's website says three generations of experience stand behind its hardscape work, from patios and walkways to retaining walls, and it says it has been in business 15 years. Its BBB page is an A+. A recent customer said RD completed a retaining wall using antique stone found on site, sourced granite steps, placed a peastone drive with a cobble border and added final plantings, and that Brendan worked with them from the site visit to completion. A recent customer hired RD to clear overgrown areas of a front yard and plant grass seed, and called the company friendly, reasonably priced and quick. A 2025 customer said Robert and his team removed a failing retaining wall and replaced it with precast boulder blocks on a steep site very near Great East Lake, finishing ahead of time, and that Robert obtained the local and state permits. In a 2025 review, a customer said Brendan measured a 600-foot dirt driveway and his team scraped, shaped, graveled and tamped it. A 2024 customer said they chose RD Outdoor after estimates from five contractors to replace a waterfront rock retaining wall on Milton Three Ponds, and that Robert and his crew worked through cold weather and changing lake levels in December and January to build the new wall with Compac wall block and granite steps. A 2024 customer from York said Robert and his team spent a day repairing two walkways the ocean damaged in a winter Nor'easter. A 2023 customer described a backyard that became a terraced patio with three step-down levels leading to a circular fire pit area surrounded by reclaimed granite blocks, plus three sets of granite stairs. A 2022 customer said RD Masonry and Landscaping had plowed their driveway for the past few seasons. In 2026, a passing reviewer complained that the company set up an unsafe work zone on Wentworth Rd without a flagger, then raised the rating from one star to three, writing that the behavior changed after the complaint.
Believe me when I say this is one of the BEST Companies I have ever worked with ! They tell you what they are going to do AND they do it ! I could not be more pleased that I chias them to do my project.
We hired RD to clear out some overgrown areas in our front yard and plant grass seed. They were super friendly, reasonably priced and quick! I would highly recommend them for your next outdoor project.
Robert and his team are the best in the business. From excavation and hardscaping to final hydroseeding, they can do it all. They are professional, timely, and thorough. RD completed a retaining wall using antique stone found on site, they sourced granite steps, placed a peastone drive with a cobble border, and some final plantings for us. We were lucky to work with Brendan from site visit through to completion. Not once did they balk at our attention to detail. Instead, their thoughtfulness unwaivered throughout and their collaborative approach paid off. I look forward to the opportunity to work with them again in the future.
Been set up on Wentworth rd all day with an unsafe work zone without a flagger. Vehicles and equipment on both sides of the road forcing vehicles to play chicken with each other as there's no clear line of sight. Do not hire these people *Behavior was changed after complaint. Amending from 1 star to 3
We had RD Outdoor gravel our 600 foot dirt driveway. Brendan came to the property, talked through the project, and took thorough measurements. His team scraped the area, shaped it, laid the gravel, and tamped it down. It looks amazing and is exactly what we needed. 10/10, would recommend.
