A 2025 reviewer buying property in Brattleboro, Vermont, wrote that they reached out about eight times over two weeks for fencing estimates, through the website form, email and voicemail, with no reply, and that the mailbox was full.

I wish I could recommend Keene Fence Company - after all, multiple friends and neighbors recommended them to me. However, my experience with them does not allow me to do so. I first contacted Keene Fence Co. in the early summer. They promptly returned my call, asked some details about my project, and scheduled an estimate for a couple of months later. They showed up to give the estimate in time, took measurements, asked more questions, and promised to provide a quote and some samples. That was the last I heard from them. I followed up in the email thread we had going; no reply. I called and got voicemail, only to be notified that the mailbox was full. I waited a couple of weeks, giving them the benefit of the doubt - after all, it’s summer, contractors are busy - then repeated the follow ups. Same result, completely ghosted. So, if you want to have your time wasted, these are the folks to go with. But, if you want a contractor who respects you enough to at least tell you they’re not interested in your project, Keene Fence Co. is not for you.
