The pattern across 24 permitted projects is heavy residential work in Boston's neighbourhoods and the towns just south of it. A fire-damaged Dorchester building gutted and rebuilt at $400,000 in 2023 — new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchens and bathrooms. A three-family in East Boston stripped back to its frame at $300,000 in 2019. A second storey reframed and extended in Hyde Park. Closer to home, a $351,000 Milton addition with a new kitchen and bathrooms in 2024. Kitchen and bath work shows up throughout, but usually as part of something larger. On paper the credentials line up. BuildZoom lists an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #173559, and an active construction supervisor licence, CS-104126, checked in March and July 2026 — the directory's own claims rather than the state's word, so verify both yourself. It also lists an earlier home improvement registration, #166894, as inactive and at one point cancelled per the state's Consumer Affairs office. Two registrations where one lapsed is worth a direct question. What's missing is the human half. BuildZoom states it has received no customer reviews, so for all the money that has moved through these jobs there is no account of how any of them were run — no word on schedule, on cost overruns, on what the site was like to live beside. Worth calling if your project is a real build rather than a refresh: additions, fire restorations, gut renovations of multi-families. Ask for two or three recent owners you can phone, and settle the registration question before you sign.
