Three Google ratings. That is the whole public verdict on Key Realty, a Quincy firm whose work gets measured in leases and land deals rather than homeowner reviews. The office sits at 16 Granite Street, and the company describes itself as a commercial real estate brokerage and consulting firm — office, retail, industrial and land, bought, sold and leased across Quincy, Boston and the South Shore. Sean Kenealy is president and owner by the company's own account, which also calls the firm family-run. Its founding year is the company's claim too, and the site tells it two ways: 1973 on the home page, 1974 on the About page. Its Massachusetts real estate broker license is active. For a brokerage that is the credential that carries weight, and it is the one thing here confirmed against the state rather than taken from the company's own pages. The Quincy Chamber of Commerce lists the firm as a member. Key Realty also says it has been a CoStar Power Broker for the Boston market five years running — its own statement, not something checkable from the outside. The customer side is thin. Google shows 4.3 stars from three ratings, and the written commentary behind that average dates to 2022. The tone is positive, but a handful of ratings spread over several years is a slim basis for any verdict about a firm this size. Worth raising before you call: by its own description this is a commercial shop — storefronts, offices, warehouse space, development land. If you are selling a house or looking for a residential agent, ask up front whether that is work they take on. If you are a business owner looking for space on the South Shore, or a landlord with a vacancy to fill, that is the lane the firm claims as its own, and the active broker license is real. Given how short the public trail is, ask for recent comparable deals and speak to a couple of their references — those will tell you more than the star rating will.
