Keith made a trip to our home to diagnose a leak in our shower. Most GC's wouldn't bother with such a small request but it meant the world to us! He is very friendly and knowledgable and was able to narrow down the issue very quickly. We have a plan and can't wait for the part to be delivered so the shower can be fixed. And on his way out the door he also fixed a running toilet when I mentioned it. Really a genuinely nice person that wanted to help us out. We have found our new GC for all future house projects and can't be more excited!!
Keith was friendly and communicative. For the most part he did a great job coordinating materials and getting the appropriate people on site to keep the project moving nearly every day. The building materials used appear to be high quality. The architect he works with helped us refine our vision well. This was a large, complex outbuilding renovation. The finished work is good, but I can't give all 5 stars. The construction isn't quite to the premium, turnkey standard that was promised. Some items required additional follow-up to meet our definition of done. For one example, I had to trim the adjustable shelves that were cut too long to fit the custom shelving unit. The project also finished later than our contract schedule. The stated cost was not exceeded. We will certainly enjoy using the space, and we appreciate the effort it took to get it completed. Thanks, Keith.
I loved working with Keith and his team at Grain and Steel for my kitchen remodel. Great service and great people. Highly recommend.
This company is great to work with from start to finish. Keith is incredibly professional and sharp. He figured out a complex project and his team is great as well. They took care of everything and made sure the job was done right.
We chose Grain & Steel after meeting with several builders to expand our master bathroom, walk in closet and add a 3 season room below. We had some challenges as we didn't want the addition to impact our existing family room on the first floor. We felt comfortable with Keith immediately. He was the only builder who came back with an initial design concept and a rough estimate of the costs right away. Keith then introduced us to a fantastic architect who provided a detailed plan that blew us away. It was honestly way more elaborate than we envisioned - a 2 level spa like bathroom, huge walk in with custom shelving and a beautiful 3 season room below. However, when we met with Keith to review the design and renderings, he assured us that the end result was going to be EXACTLY what was depicted and that is what we got. From the first shovel to lay the foundation, to the final finish details, every step of the project was executed perfectly. All of Keith's subcontractors (framers, roofers, electricians, plumbers, finish carpenters and tile, flooring, painters etc) were all skilled and professional. Along the way Keith consulted with us on several details and made suggestions that made the end result even better. Keith personally did all the custom shelving in the new walk in closet. We could not be happier with Grain & Steel - we would recommend them without reservation.
