Ken and Sonia were amazing to work with! We were looking to have two interior doors installed in our living room, and Sonia was incredibly helpful in guiding us toward the best doors for our space. Ken did a beautiful job with the installation, and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product. We used KPM to completely remodel our basement in a mid- century rancher, turning a 1970s design into a modern coastal entertainment space. Having just purchased the house we wanted the reno to be done before we moved in. The project was large and took 5 months to complete (Dec 2025- Apr 2026) but they met our deadline and stayed in very frequent communication with us about all details and decisions to be made. It was a long process, with lots of decision fatigue, but the outcome of the work exceeded our expectations!! It’s important to note that we talked to 5-6 renovation companies, each taking an hour to learn about our project, but only 2 followed through with an estimate. KPM was the clear winner based on cost, caring and knowledge of the business. Extent of the project: Demo’d to the foundation, then prepped the walls to prevent moisture issues. Installed: all new framing, wall boards, plaster & painted; new drop ceiling; new electrical outlets, a home entertainment system & new lighting, three new doors; floor and wall tiles; new carpet; and custom stairwell railing. It also included a custom designed dry bar and wall unit with electric fireplace insert. Sonya expertly, efficiently, and professionally managed all of the trades who worked on our project, ensuring the work was completed as scheduled, and to the highest quality standards. We also worked with each trade directly to discuss desired outcomes we wanted in the project. All the tradesman were talented in their craft and professional. Sonja also has a large network of construction material companies and passionately ensured we got the best quality products at a fair price, and on time. Ken is a very knowledgeable craftsman and skilled master carpenter who takes great pride in creating high quality work. He was flexible, very patient with our many questions, has a great eye for detail and made suggestions on install that improved the outcome! He partnered with the cabinet company to achieve our custom design for a built in fireplace unit and dry bar. In this process, he displayed an innate ability to implement a design created by others. He showed a high regard for respecting our home and he, along with all their trades kept the project space spotless of any debris. We are thrilled with the final product. Together Sonya and Ken guided us through the whole project, and were extremely responsive to our questions and concerns. They truly care about their customers, deliver their work with integrity, craftsmanship, and fairness. This is what makes them standout from other competitor’s. In the end, the project was completed within our allotted budget, on time, and exceeded our expectations. They feel like family to us now. In fact, 3 months later we partnered with KPM again to repair /replace a dozen boards on our wooden deck. Ken again worked his magic in a day and a half, and at a very reasonable price. We strongly recommend KPM for home remodeling work, and will not hesitate using them for any future projects. They have earned our trust!
