In April 2025 Leo pulled up with an offer: a gravel driveway 30-plus years old, a dip in it full of water, a price the homeowner called very fair, and next-day work. He showed up exactly when he said. That is how L.A.C Paving's best reviews tend to go. The company paves out of Manchester, New Hampshire, and names Bedford, Auburn, Hooksett, Derry, Nashua and Chester alongside it as its area. It describes itself as doing residential and commercial paving, milling and recycling, and sealcoating. The Better Business Bureau has it accredited with an A+ and reports 21 years in business; Angi's listing says 12 years and notes Spanish-language support. What customers describe is driveways, and the detail that keeps surfacing is water. An October 2025 Angi reviewer said the end of their replaced driveway was built up so runoff cannot flow into the backyard anymore. A July 2024 customer watched the crew tear up the old drive, pitch the whole thing properly and lay a two-inch course with a one-and-a-half-inch fine layer on top, then clean up after themselves. In April 2026 another had a fair-sized extension added with no visible damage to the existing driveway, and said the crew kept the block and the property clean while they worked. Six of the 25 written reviews carry one star, all of them from 2022 through 2024, and they split into two kinds. Three are about the crew's presence rather than the paving: two neighbors in 2023 — one who said the crew made it next to impossible to get into their own driveway and mocked them for raising it, plus left equipment on their lawn, and one who found pavers parked in their front yard without being asked while a house two driveways down was being done — and a December 2023 reviewer whose morning was lost to a company truck taking up the whole road. The other three go at the work. A May 2022 customer paid $2,200 for a driveway with a small pad added and said Leonard ran out of asphalt partway through, which left a visible crease. An October 2022 reviewer said the company promised to return to finish poor-quality work and never came. A March 2024 reviewer wrote only that the company does not stand by its work. So settle the finish and the follow-up in writing before the trucks arrive — what the final surface should look like, and who comes back if it does not. If you share a driveway or a tight street, agree beforehand where the crew parks and stages equipment. For a straightforward driveway replacement, extension or regrade around Manchester, particularly one where water needs to go somewhere other than your yard, this year's customers describe crews arriving on time at prices they call fair.
