Lakeview Landscaping has been a family operation in Lunenburg since 1970, started by Russell N. Harvey Jr. to grow out of his father's garden center; Mark Bursch, a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional, has run it as President since 1996. The company reports OSHA certification for its solar field maintenance crew, and the Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade with no complaints on that page (it isn't BBB-accredited). Mark himself gets thanked by name — a recent review credited him with installing arborvitaes that came out better than expected, and one longtime customer says they buy wood and gravel from the company exclusively for the prices and consistency. A 2023 review described a sprinkler crew fixing a list of electrical and coverage problems in one visit, efficiently and without repeat calls. Two 2023 reviews raise real concerns. One said a lawn treatment burned several areas of a property because of a defective spreader; the company explained the equipment issue and came back in August to repair the damage. Another was more pointed — a customer said a crew removed a tree and a hydrangea bush from their property after being explicitly told not to touch them. A separate 2025 review, unrelated to landscaping quality, described a company truck passing dangerously on a public road. For grounds and irrigation work in the Lunenburg area, this reads as an established, multi-generation operation with real loyalty behind it — but that unauthorized-removal complaint is worth asking about directly, especially for any job near plantings you want kept.
