Laku Electric is a one-person Dedham shop built on fixing what other electricians got wrong. Several reviewers specifically brought Avdulla Cekrezi in after a prior contractor misdiagnosed or mishandled a job — in a 2025 review one customer called him in to sort out circuit breakers a different electrician had left in bad shape while installing a 220V dryer breaker, and in a 2023 review a homeowner said he found the actual problem for a fraction of what a previous quote of nearly $3,000 to replace a main panel would have cost. Thumbtack's own vetting lists a Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license under his name. The written record on him runs about eight years deep. Angi reviews start in 2018 and Thumbtack has picked up more recently, adding up to a 4.8-star average across 43 Thumbtack ratings and a 4.9-star average across 33 Angi ratings. The same themes repeat across nearly every year of it: he shows up when he says he will, often the same day or the next business day, and reviewers keep calling his pricing fair or competitive. The work itself is everyday household electrical — outlet and fixture swaps, recessed lighting, ceiling fans, a Nest doorbell, an EV charger — along with panel upgrades and troubleshooting older wiring, including a case where he inspected and signed off on dead knob-and-tube runs in an older home. Reviewers also mention that he keeps the work area clean and does minimal cutting into walls when running new wiring. There's one specific complaint worth knowing about before calling: in a June 2023 review, a customer said a pantry light fixture he'd installed weeks earlier stopped working, and that on the return visit he said the switch simply had no power rather than diagnosing it further. Angi's own listing for the business notes that Laku Electric publicly disputed that account in its reply — it's the one low mark on an otherwise long run of five-star reviews. Separately, the business's own listings don't agree with each other on how long it's been operating: Angi's profile states 20 years, HomeAdvisor's states 27. Laku Electric is a reasonable call for the smaller residential electrical jobs — a dead outlet, a breaker that keeps tripping, a light that won't work, an EV charger or panel upgrade — especially if another electrician already took a swing at the problem and missed. For a bigger job, it's worth pinning down the scope and what a return visit covers in writing, since the one dispute on record was about exactly that.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Laku Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

Made an appointment the week of. Showed up on time. Took a look at the problem and had a solution immediately.
Laku and his team are exceptional - fast, responsive and professional! He came over to help diagnose an issue we've been having with our electrical system and circuit breakers ever since a different electrician reconfigured our system when installing a 220V breaker for a dryer. Not only did he diagnose the issue quickly, but he helped us troubleshoot the original wiring in order to make it more efficient and save us money. They were in and out in less than an hour and very responsibly priced. I will be using him for any additional electrical needs. Very impressed with his work.
Absolutely would hire again for any electrical issues. They came right away and they quickly resolved the issue and gave excellent advice. 5 stars!
Prompt, efficient, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!
Laku responded quickly and effectively to my inquiry, we discussed the services, he arrived promptly at 8am, and did excellent work, as an electrician AND handyman. I Highly recommend him!
