Lavallee Electric is an electrical contractor in Wrentham, MA. In its own Angi description, Lavallee Electric LLC says it has provided residential and commercial electrical services in Franklin and the surrounding communities since 1998. In a 2024 review, a customer who had them install 2 lines (110/220) to charge an EV wrote that a tech later replaced a GFI with a standard outlet on the tripping 110 line and that the customer was then charged $200 without a quote. That 2024 customer wrote that the owner dropped the charge by $50. In a 2023 review, a customer with a Generac whole-home generator wrote that they were always responsive and patient with questions, and that they sent reminders when annual service was due. A separate 2023 review from a customer who needed a generator fixed and asked for a payment plan complained that they had not reached out at all. In another 2023 review, a customer whose other electrician cancelled wrote that the team from Lavallee Electric was there by 9am on Monday for an outlet needed for a desk setup. A 2023 review says they installed a receptacle for a fireplace gas insert and that the work was very neat. In a 2021 review, a customer wrote that they hooked up radiant heated front steps, ran the wiring into the house to the sub panel, installed switches at the front door and clearly marked all the wiring. In a 2019 review, a customer wrote that within 24 hours of the call they had installed a bathroom fan/light and cleaned up afterward. A 2015 review said they rented a generator strong enough for the house and worked for 2 weeks in very harsh cold weather re-wiring the customer's electricity. In a 2016 review, a customer wrote that a new chandelier on a high ceiling was installed slightly bent, that a message asking them to come back got no call back, and that another electrician redid the job. A separate 2016 review said that when asked for a quote, he came out and just started doing the repairs, and the customer was charged a higher rate for a helper.
Too bad I can’t give zero! I Had them install 2 lines (110/220) to charge my EV. Had to call them back for a broken switch. No charge, fine. Had to call them back again because my 110 line kept tripping. The tech told me because I said it was a general line and not for charging so he put in a GFI, but mentioned the charger probably has one. This research should’ve been done beforehand since I gave them access the cable and car info. So he came and replaced the gfi with a standard outlet. Said he could do it right away. I wasn’t home but he said it was a 10 minute job. Next thing I know I’m being charged $200, without a quote. When I spoke to the owner he claimed that first, I was lucky I wasn’t charged an emergency rate, although it wasn’t an emergency and they offered to come right away IN BETWEEN JOBS!!! Secondly, he claimed both techs didn’t hear me say that I was going to use it for charging but for general use. As if the other tech would disagree with his boss!! The tech also claimed that the quote specified general use (it’s in writing and it doesn’t). Also, I should’ve told them if the charger had an internal GFI. So that’s MY job now?!?!?! When I told him he never provided a written quote, so I thought it was a continuation of the job, he said how could they quote sight unseen. They had been here 3 times: initial quote, the actual work and then the switch repair. So any excuse was good to not admit their fault!!! I was willing to go halfway to maintain the relationship, but this guy is more attached to money than to his company’s word and customer satisfaction. His best was to drop $25 but he generously dropped $50. So for $50 he lost a customer and got this review!! I’m not saying not to use them but beware! They lie so if you use them get everything, I mean everything, in writing!!!
I use Lavallee electric for the maintenance of my Generic generator and, a problem occurred when the light inside the window of it showed a yellow light along with the green light. Not knowing what it meant I called Lavallee and, he told me not to worry & that everything would still be working but, to fix what the problem was he sent me an email with the steps to to clear the yellow light out and, get only the green light to be showing which means everything is good and, whatever the problem was had been taken care of. I was glad he responded quickly not knowing if it was a serious problem and, it turned out not to be. It's good to have good customer service when needed .
Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I highly recommend them for any electrical needs.
Always responsive; always patient with our questions about our Generac whole-home generator- even when living in the same town that is frequently without power in storms, which means a lot of call volume I’m sure! We don’t need to call for annual service- they remind us when we are due. Great local business.
They suck no response. False advertising. Website says WE CARE they dont. I'm dealing with an incurable bone marrow disorder. I can pay but need a payment plan. Shame on them. I need my generstor fixed. I need one little bit of peace of mind with what I'm going through and the haven't reached out at all. One star for you suck!@@@@
