Lawn Management is a lawn, tree and shrub care company that says it has been family-owned since Mike Heffernan founded it in 1988 with the stated mission "A safe approach to manage your lawn" — thirty-eight years by its own account. It runs crews out of two Massachusetts locations, Holliston and Pembroke, covering MetroWest towns such as Wellesley, Needham, Newton, Weston and Natick and South Shore towns including Hanover, Norwell, Hingham, Scituate and Plymouth. The work is program-based rather than mowing: seasonal fertilization, weed and crabgrass control, grub prevention, seeding and aeration, lawn disease treatment, and tick and mosquito programs, plus tree and shrub feeding and spraying. The written record is unusually consistent and unusually current. Homeowners describe lawns being turned around rather than merely maintained. In an October 2025 review a customer said the company took a lawn that was almost entirely dead and overrun with weeds and restored it to a thick, dark carpet of grass in under six months — and noted that the technician warned them it would look worse through much of the summer while the soil, grubs and crabgrass were dealt with, which is what happened. A November 2025 reviewer described moss and weeds giving way to lush grass that improves each year. A lot of the praise attaches to named individuals rather than to the company in the abstract, which is what happens when the same technician keeps returning. Reviewers in 2026 credit Antonio's knowledge of grass, soil, pests and disease, Ashley for spotting problems before they develop and for sweeping the walkways when she finishes, Travis and Sean for year-after-year results, and Steve for responsiveness. A November 2025 customer said explicitly that having the same technician every visit meant he really got to know their lawn. Pricing and sales pressure come up repeatedly and favourably. A July 2026 reviewer said the company gives you what you need at a fair price and does not beat you over the head with upsells; an April 2026 customer said the same, praising an approach that does not push services for profit's sake. Several also mention practical courtesies — advance notice of a visit so pets can be kept inside, and written documentation of what was applied and why. A June 2026 reviewer in Wayland said the organic program suited a household with children and dogs. Worth settling before you book: which of the two dispatch territories covers your address, and who would be assigned to your property, since so much of the record is about specific technicians. The company also says it holds a Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals membership and has a certified arborist on staff, which is worth confirming directly if tree work is what you need.
