Nine Google reviews, all of them five stars, and the same idea keeps surfacing: they are careful. One 2025 customer noticed the crew taking the lawn corners slowly to avoid tearing up the grass — the kind of thing you only notice after a service that didn't bother. Barrios Landscaping works out of Holliston and covers the MetroWest towns west of Boston; the company lists Ashland, Sherborn, Medfield, Framingham, Wellesley, Needham, Natick, Dover, Hopkinton, Milford, Medway and Millis as its territory. By its own account Francisco Barrios started the business "with just a few tools and a vision" and puts its tenure at ten years, with Mae running administration and James handling sales. A 2016 Patch small-business piece quoted Barrios dating the launch to 2013. What people hire them for splits in two. There is the season-long maintenance side — weekly mowing, fall leaf removal, spring cleanups — where 2025 reviewers reached for words like neat, quick and reasonably priced, and one described eight straight years of the same crew. Then the project side: a 2025 review credited a patio-and-deck job as timely and thorough, another said a drainage problem was handled rapidly and cost-effectively, and a third described a yard rebuilt with new plantings and a designed patio. Winter is its own business — a 2025 customer called the plowing the best they had had on a driveway that is not easy to plow. Two things worth holding in mind. The written history is genuine but shallow and dated: nine reviews, all posted during 2025, and Google's page shows a 5-star average across 11 ratings. And the tenure number is the company's own — the site says ten years while that 2016 article puts the start at 2013, so ask directly how long they have been at it if that matters. Off the review sites, the Holliston PTO wrote in 2023 that it was grateful to the company for donating close to 100 hours of labor to an outdoor learning project, and a 2018 Wicked Local feature on the owner's family described the plowing and landscaping business as a family operation. The right call for a MetroWest homeowner who wants one crew on a season-long maintenance contract with patio, drainage or plow work folded in. Because the praise is broad rather than itemized, pin down scope, crew and price for your specific job before the first visit.
