Lawn-Pro Lawncare Service is a Plainville, Massachusetts outfit that's been mowing, fertilizing, and treating for mosquitoes across the MetroWest and South Shore towns for decades — the company describes itself as family-owned, and HomeAdvisor lists 32 years in business. The loudest voice in its reviews is longevity: one customer says they've used Lawn-Pro for 25 years without an issue, another for over 20, both mentioning the courtesy call the day before a visit. Mosquito control comes up again and again as the reason people stick around — one reviewer whose daughter is allergic to bites says Lawn-Pro is the only company that's actually kept the yard livable, and several others describe real relief after the season's first application. On Google, 35 ratings average 4.6 stars; on Angi and HomeAdvisor, where the samples are much smaller (13 and 12 ratings), the average sits closer to 3.7–3.9 — a gap worth knowing going in. The complaints on record are specific, not vague. A 2024 review describes Lawn-Pro accidentally treating the wrong yard, twice in one week, because the address was similar to an actual customer's — killing the lawn, with three follow-up calls going nowhere. A separate 2024 review describes a season of insect and crabgrass treatments that didn't clear the crabgrass, with no further help once the reviewer says they were told they weren't a current customer. And a 2020 review describes an unauthorized spring application and an office response calling it automatic renewal — the reviewer called the exchange rude. None of that shows up in the last six months: the five most recent reviews, from April through August this year, are all five stars and describe quick, professional visits with detailed after-service reports explaining each application. Angi lists a Massachusetts trade license for the company (CC-0015359, expiring 12/31/2026) — that's Angi's listing, not something verified here — plus certifications from the Massachusetts Association of Lawncare Professionals and the RI Nursery and Landscape Association. Worth confirming before signing on: how billing and renewal terms work season to season, and — given the address mix-up — that they have the right property on file before the first visit. For anyone drawn in by the mosquito-season and long-tenure reviews, that's the trade-off: a crew with real staying power and specific praise for pest control, alongside a real, if dated, pattern of billing and follow-up complaints.
Awesome work with the mosquito control. We always had mosquitos and had other company’s try and control at-least how much we got bitten. No one worked as well as lawn pro did. My daughter is allergic to the bite and we had one bite on her this summer! The lawn care is also awesome able to get what the lawn needs and at the right times of the year. Watched their new aerator machine and new seed be put down in record time! Thank you for all you guys do.
I have been with Lawn Pro for 25 years. In those 25 years, I have not had any issues. Many times I would ask the Lawn Care person for advice on other lawn issues and they are more than happy to help me. Over the 25 years, I have also recommend them to other home owners as well.
