Malden's Lermon Construction — also doing business as Lermon Masonry — is a call for stonework and concrete work: patios, retaining walls, rebuilt steps, driveways. A steady stream of reviewers across three platforms name the same person running the crew: Sander. Thumbtack rates the company 4.8 from 111 reviews and lists six years in business; Angi shows 5.0 from nine reviews, Houzz 5.0 from three. The most recent review, from April 2026, calls the company very responsive after a brick-stairs repair at a reasonable price, with the customer already planning to book again. That holds up against the older reviews: a 2024 review describes removing a 23-foot cracked concrete sidewalk and laying new pavers within two days, an August 2025 review covers a difficult in-ground pool deck replacement finished on quote in a tight backyard, and a June 2025 review describes a full front-steps rebuild completed in two days. A 2025 Angi review walks through a basement repair — digging down to the foundation, repointing the walls, waterproofing, and installing a french drain — from a customer hiring the company a second time, and a January 2026 Angi review covers a new concrete bulkhead staircase replacing a rotted wood set, finished clean in a single day. Worth asking about before booking: Thumbtack's own rating breakdown shows about 6% of its 111 ratings at one or two stars, though none of those specific reviews are shown. Licensing is a little unclear on paper too — BuildZoom lists an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#210043) for the company, while Houzz separately shows a different license number for the business; neither has been checked directly against the state registry, so confirm the current number before signing anything. For a patio, retaining wall, steps, or a concrete driveway, this is a business with a genuinely deep, consistent history spanning three separate review platforms since 2021 — basement waterproofing and repointing work show up too, just less often than the hardscaping. Get the license number confirmed and the scope and price in writing, and expect the crew that keeps showing up across five years of reviews to show up for the estimate too.
Lermon was very responsive, repaired my brick stairs at reasonable price . I will book for future projects.
Sander and his team did an awesome job installing a new set of steps in my bulkhead. They removed a rotted wood set and put in a new concrete set. It looks great, they left the site clean, and were done in a single day. I would definitely recommend!
Xander came on time, took care of the project (patching some gaps in the chimney) quickly and left the site clean.
Sander and his team did an amazing job. It was a very difficult in-ground pool deck replacement in a very tight backyard space. The deck was elevated in places with no room for heavy equipment. They were on time, professional and completed the job right on quote. I would highly recommend Lermon if you need hardscaping work.
Lermon Masonry removed our existing front steps and completely rebuilt them in just two days. They were professional, did beautiful work and were very reasonably priced. I can highly recommend Lermon Masonry.
