WOW!! Lew and his team at Weitzman Renovations are fantastic! If I could give 10 stars, I would! They just completed work, and it feels like we have a new home! They renovated our basement and got rid of longstanding cat smell. They sanded our oak floors and applied a water-based poly with no smell that looks beautiful and adds light to our house. They brought in plumbers and electricians to fix lots of problems and their carpenters replaced our screen doors. Now we just walk around the house and smile! If you want to ensure your house project(s) are done correctly and beautifully, look no further. I highly recommend Lew’s team at Weitzman Renovations!
We hired Lewis Weitzman to â rehabâ our kitchen. Lewis was amazing. We didnâ t need to hire an architect. Lewis, after extensive talks with us, came up with several redesigns that incorporated our tastes and preferences, while also taking into account the limitations of the space. Lewis was not only receptive, he was involved and creatively problem-solved every step of the way. Daily, he was there, overseeing the work of demolition teams, plumbers, cabinet makers, flooring experts, electricians, carpenters, and painters. When he discovered that one of our support beams had been taken down almost 30 years before, he quickly found a solution and was able to put up a massive beam that supported out entire upper floor. Throughout the work, we never had to worry when â discoveriesâ (never good ones, regarding electricity, plumbing, you name it) were made â we always knew Lewis would find solutions. Throughout the process, he continually helped us imagine new possibilities, whether it was uncovering a hidden brick wall or creating custom-made shelves in â dead spaces.â We had complete confidence in him â his work ethic, his skill, and his ability to coordinate multiple teams seamlessly. To us the result is amazing â we love our new kitchen and canâ t believe itâ s ours.

We hired Lew for a set of changes to our condo to increase our ability to age in place. We needed every trade -- electrician, plumber, tiler, plasterer, and painter along with Lew's own carpentry skill set. Lew listened to all of our concerns and made informed suggestions that enhanced the final solutions. His workmanship and that of his sub-contractors was excellent. Lew treats your home as if it were his; he provides top level work and workmen. He cleans up every day. He will listen; he will respond promptly to your questions; and you can trust him in your home.
Lew goes the extra mile for his customers - he's quite thoughtful and thorough. I would ask that if you work with him, you treat him with the respect any kind, true craftsman deserves. Lew will not be the cheapest but the work performed will be high quality and you will find the entire process stress free. We've not had anything "go wrong" during our projects, but we have altered from our original approach. Lew made that process easy, he was very patient and simply a joy to work with. He is a rare breed; a renaissance man who stands behind his work and is concerned for making the entire process stress free and fun.
