"Nothing. The job is too small to charge you." That is what Darren of Little Things Handyman told a customer after fixing a window that would not close, according to a September 2016 Angi review; another 2016 reviewer said a few little jobs were so small they were not charged at all. The Danbury handyman business's written reviews run from 2016 to 2020, and HomeAdvisor and Angi each show 4.9 stars from 28 ratings. The jobs are the small, everyday kind. In 2016 reviews, customers describe a toilet fixed in under half an hour, a bathtub leak repaired and the stained ceiling below primed, and a swing set installed after dark the night before a three-year-old's birthday party. A September 2016 reviewer, after high quotes elsewhere, had a basement made livable on a budget. A January 2017 reviewer hired the company to remove basement ceiling insulation; the crew found where mice were getting in, closed those gaps and cleaned the basement. The newest, from October 2020, describes deck support beams replaced and the beams and railing painted. One August 2016 review is a specific complaint: the worker did not know the building code for deck stairs, attached the posts to the stair stringer with one regular screw instead of lag bolts and had to return to fix it, and when the customer called the company, they were referred back to the worker. The state registry lists its Connecticut home improvement registration HIC.0645471, held under Little Things Handyman LLC, as expired.

Darren and crew were here on time and got right to work replacing support beams on the deck. They painted all the beams and deck railing. I will definitely hire them again, when I need work done in my home.
Darren came over the next day although mine was a minor non-emergency plumbing job. He helped me with another item and is coming back to install a microwave. He is at the top of my list to call when I need help.
Darren arrived on time, performed work requested (replacement of interior door) at a fair price and asked for input where decisions had to be made. He was pleasant to deal with. Would use again.
Extraordinary service, trustworthy. Very positive experience.
Great job and a pleasure to work with. Darren and Jose did more than outlined at no extra charge. Will work with Little Things again.
