LLC General Contractor, also operating as LC Construction and Remodeling, is a Brockton roofing outfit run by Luis (Louis) Castro — and its record is a genuine split. On one end sit reviews describing a crew that shows up, finishes a roof in a single day, and cleans up after itself; on the other are accounts of no-shows, unfinished jobs, and property damage left unrepaired. That split shows up in the numbers too: HomeAdvisor's own 16 ratings run half five-star, a quarter one-star, with little in between — not a mediocre outfit, but one whose outcome seems to depend on which job you get. In a 2019 review, a homeowner described same-day estimates and a roof finished in a day with the gutters put back as they were; another from the same year described Luis returning to fix a bulging section of rubber roofing after being paid in full. The more recent record is harder to read past. A June 2026 HomeAdvisor review reports being stood up for a week with no calls, work left incomplete, and a fence broken and never repaired. A January 2025 Reddit thread raised a similar complaint about a Worcester tree-removal job — trees not cut to the ground, debris left behind, and a neighbor's fence damaged. A 2019 review put a number on the risk: about $2,000 spent fixing work that wasn't up to code. Two things worth checking before booking. The company currently operates as LLC General Contractor, Inc., whose Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, issued October 2025; an earlier entity tied to the same Luis Castro, LC Construction and Remodeling, Inc., held a registration that expired back in 2019. And Porch lists a 4.3-star aggregate across 46 ratings, but the only review it actually publishes is a one-star account of that same Lawrence roofing job gone wrong — worth asking for current, verifiable references rather than leaning on a platform average. Given how far apart the good and bad accounts run, and that the most recent activity leans negative, vet this one carefully — get a firm timeline and scope in writing before signing anything.
“Avoid contractor Luis Castro from LLCGeneralcontractor.com Recently I had a terrible experience with a contractor for tree-removal at my Worcester home. The supervisor wasn't onsite and the workers only spoke Spanish. They didn't cut the trees to the ground and then didn't removal the cut tree debris. That was after they destroyed a section of my neighbor's fence and then didn't use new material so the 'fix' was worse than a DIY job. **Never use this contractor!** I post this here since there was no informati”
Horrible, stood up for 1 week, no call no shows, comes and goes when he wants. Doesn?t complete work as promised. Broke fence in the process and never bothered to fix it. When I called him he just been dodging me.
They stood me up for two days. I was happy about the price but not the experience.
Very unreliable, terrible work, do not use them, if you use them make sure pay till the job is done they do not come back.
On Time, Very hard working. They did a very good job removing the trees and taking the refuse away.
